As above I was trying to understand your point of view, maybe you had experienced some yourself. That isnt what I've said, and for the record, I never have felt discriminated against, but equally that doest mean only white people are racist. I'm not sure what point you are making tbh.
Serious question, why don’t the Asian and African people just sort their countries out so they don’t have to move to white countries?Good news if you’re a white person who’s upset about asylum seekers and feels like you’re not allowed to talk about it - the United States might now accept you as a refugee
Trump Considers Overhaul of Refugee Program That Would Favor White People
Serious question Pete. Who can be happy having to move from your home to a country you know nothing about and having to live in a migrant hotel with strangers.Serious question, why don’t the Asian and African people just sort their countries out so they don’t have to move to white countries?
The first thing they should move is the sun. Maybe push it back a bit.Serious question, why don’t the Asian and African people just sort their countries out so they don’t have to move to white countries?

The only way to solve the illegal migration issue is for the countries these people are coming from to sort themselves out. There should be help from the western world for them to do this. Ultimately the goal of everyone to have pace and prosperity in the world.
Where were you born? Where were your parents born? And where did you work and study? Unless the answers to those questions are all the same, then you have your answer.Serious question, why don’t the Asian and African people just sort their countries out so they don’t have to move to white countries?
Australia seems to be doing ok, so was South Africa. With climate change (which IS a thing), more and more people are going to try to migrate from these scorching hot countries to the slightly cooler countries in the West
Definitely going to happen.
We don't have a lot of migration from other hot countries that have wealth eg Dubai, Oman, Saudi etc. I'm not sure heat is the reason they're moving and although I can't agree with Doug saying why are they moving to 'white countries' if I were one of the immigrants I would welcome a move to a country where I was more culturally aligned, so the 'why here' question is about more than weather. With climate change (which IS a thing), more and more people are going to try to migrate from these scorching hot countries to the slightly cooler countries in the West

Damn straight yepWhere were you born? Where were your parents born? And where did you work and study? Unless the answers to those questions are all the same, then you have your answer.
I agree with you btw that foreign aid should be a key part of any country’s immigration policy. But we apparently want to cut that as well.
Good to see you’re in favour of the ex-colonial powers paying reparations then. Next you’ll be eating yoghurts and taking up knitting comrade.Serious question Pete. Reparations?? They should be thanking us for being here. People are free to go back if they feel so strongly about it.Good to see you’re in favour of the ex-colonial powers paying reparations then. Next you’ll be eating yoghurts and taking up knitting comrade.
I want to play for Coventry City, but I can’t it’s just life. No one is stopping anyone from moving legally. Just have to get yourself an education and make something of yourself rather than robbing your way through Europe, jumping on a boat and then causing crime in the country you expect to pay for you.Damn straight yep
What dougin isn’t recognising is its pure luck being born into a safe and prosperous country with opportunity
What did the Romans ever do for us?Reparations?? They should be thanking us for being here. People are free to go back if they feel so strongly about it.
How far do we go back? Do we ask the French for what the Norman’s did, or do we ask the Italians for what the Roman’s did?

Well if we hadn't stolen all their resources and made their homelands uninhabitable maybe they'd not want to come here.Reparations?? They should be thanking us for being here. People are free to go back if they feel so strongly about it.

Talking about the future, Rob.We don't have a lot of migration from other hot countries that have wealth eg Dubai, Oman, Saudi etc. I'm not sure heat is the reason they're moving and although I can't agree with Doug saying why are they moving to 'white countries' if I were one of the immigrants I would welcome a move to a country where I was more culturally aligned, so the 'why here' question is about more than weather.
In that case I agree, but it was in response to his why are they settling here and currently I don't believe it's weather related.Talking about the future, Rob.
If the planet keeps heating up and the predictions are that it will, it will be almost impossible to live in some countries
Yeah, two separate pointsIn that case I agree, but it was in response to his why are they settling here and currently I don't believe it's weather related.
Except the law, I guess. No one is stopping anyone from moving legally.
We've been over this. Most immigrants do go to 'more culturally aligned' countries. We're being fed a narrative that 'everyone wants to come here' that simply isn't true. As a country we're not even anywhere close to the top of the list of European countries for taking migrants let alone worldwide.
Well as that isn't what I've said, so I don't think your condescending 'We've been over this' is all that helpful. We've been over this. Most immigrants do go to 'more culturally aligned' countries. Albanians and Romanians are more likely to move to Italy due to language and being more aligned culturally. They’ve been moving to and living here for decades and are very well integrated; you probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between an Italian and Romanian/Albanian of visiting as a tourist.Well as that isn't what I've said, so I don't think your condescending 'We've been over this' is all that helpful.
I've not mentioned numbers of how many or even versus other European countries, although again, questionably are other European countries any more culturally aligned or in terms of religion, heritage, language, beliefs?
Everybody is different and if they feel unsafe where they are or lack of opportunity, then that's a choice they are making. It was simply a question of why here? To get here they often have to travel through many of those other places, so what opportunities do they see in coming to the UK over say France, Germany, Spain etc? Nothing to do with any narrative or numbers, so perhaps save your one trick answer for a more relevant post.

What are the Italian's views on that? Do they welcome them, are they accepting or is there a backlash towards by some / many? Is there less of a problem for the reasons that they are perhaps more culturally aligned?Albanians and Romanians are more likely to move to Italy due to language and being more aligned culturally. this seems to imply that rather than coming here immigrants should go to a more suitable country. The simple answer is for the vast majority they aren't coming here. Those fleeing Syria mostly got to Turkey, from Afghanistan & Iraq its Iran, from Venezuela its Columbia, from the Congo & Sudan its Uganda.if I were one of the immigrants I would welcome a move to a country where I was more culturally aligned, so the 'why here' question is about more than weather.
So why do they need raparations?Where are British born citizens supposed to go back to?
A lot of these people will have ancestors who fought in the British army during WW1 and WW2.
They've been in Italy in larger numbers for much longer than the UK.Percentage of Romanians is pretty similar actually - Germany is far higher than both
They came over decades ago to provide the country with cheap labour during the economic boom, so it's not something recent. You still get the same stereotypes like they're dodgy, much in the same way that I'm an alcoholic thug. What are the Italian's views on that? Do they welcome them, are they accepting or is there a backlash towards by some / many? Is there less of a problem for the reasons that they are perhaps more culturally aligned?
