We've been over this. Most immigrants do go to 'more culturally aligned' countries. We're being fed a narrative that 'everyone wants to come here' that simply isn't true. As a country we're not even anywhere close to the top of the list of European countries for taking migrants let alone worldwide.

I've not mentioned numbers of how many or even versus other European countries, although again, questionably are other European countries any more culturally aligned or in terms of religion, heritage, language, beliefs?
Everybody is different and if they feel unsafe where they are or lack of opportunity, then that's a choice they are making. It was simply a question of why here? To get here they often have to travel through many of those other places, so what opportunities do they see in coming to the UK over say France, Germany, Spain etc? Nothing to do with any narrative or numbers, so perhaps save your one trick answer for a more relevant post.
