It will be interesting as I assume that against all these teams he will get to play his preferred formation rather than 5 ATB .
Yeah, hope we have a go at them, especially the home ones. I think we'll make the playoffs, but need to prove we can beat this level of team if we're going to get past the semis or beyond

Yeah, the next one is set up to be a draw or worse I feel... But we'll see!

I really want to see us beat one of Sunderland, Sheffield United or Burnley. That's the only unanswered question Lampard has left I think - beating a really good team. He's only really had Leeds in the league so far, so will be interesting to see what happens in those games.

My prediction for the 3 games against the top 4 teams is

Sunderland win
Sheffield lose
Burnley draw

Which I'd be happy with

Yeah, don't think we'll revert to 5ATB now barring another spate of injuries

As a Sheffield resident I would dearly love to beat them on their own patch. Their fan base varies between the hugely pesimistic ( generally the older ones) and the deluded ( the young ones ) who are particularly ignorant and obnoxious generally.

One thing that has particularly impressed me is the relationship FL seems to have with all the players and his obvious connection with the fans. Winning helps but it' is such a positive and refreshing attitude. The whole coaching team appears to have spent plenty of time with every player as there has been plenty of improvement in many of them . We look to have progressed to a higher level and I personally think this is entirely due to the new set up.
Certainly seems that way from the outside looking in & I'm delighted to see it, as it's something Lampard has been strongly criticised for in his previous roles. Leaving a potentially difficult character like Bassette out of the squad could be testing so it's important he's managed properly.

Almost a 60% win ratio in 19 league games

I doubt ANY of us expected this

Doug's playoff expectation over the 5 seasons has been achieved so far.

And that Scandinavian guy!
I think I suggested Dean Smith at one point!

Certainly didn’t want Lampard. He’s been a breath of fresh air and clearly (and crucially) the players want to impress him. He’s been given good support by the owner and has got most of the big decisions right. We really could do this.

I'm buzzing we've got Sunderland. Bristol City could take out the Blunts too imo.

Agree. We’re more than capable of beating Sheff Utd in the final, if we get there!

Backed the call at the time and delighted is has paid off. I still think Lampard can't be judged until we see the start of a season. Although if that season is in the premiership I'd set my sights a bit lower than in the championship.
