Lets hope we never get to the PL, you have to play quite a few Sunday games in the PL.

Seriously wouldn't want to in its current form. Joke of a league.

We don't know that.

I can't support a club run by SISU, just can't. I hope they leave soon, but even if they drove ACL out of business and somehow acquired the Ricoh, I don't think I could support them.

Lets get the team back first and then get rid of Sisu somehow. They will never ever get any respect back from 99 % of fans regardless of where we play.

I genuinely believe if we don't return this season we never will. SISU want the freehold, they are serious they are incurrring huge losses in revenue moving the club to sixfields, they are prepared to put the club, fans, city through this, they are determined, CCC will never sell the freehold to SISU. 2 sides polarised, northern ireland, israel & the palestinians, these issues are never resolved and nor will SISU v CCC.

The only answer I feel is phoenix.

Maybe Sphinx can become the phoenix club who knows, it would be political suicide for CCC to give the stadium for anything less than its market value, I believe sisu's intention is to stay away for 3 years at then hope that the market price is depressed on this now white elephant stadium and then buy it on their terms. But even after 3 years of northampton ccc still won't sell to them.

phoenix is something to look forward to 3 more seasons like this one will destroy the club.

In the 1880s I wonder how many turned up for early Singers FC games in Dowells Fields? Not that many I'd venture, a couple of hundred maybe. Possibly a trawl through the local papers of the time would tell.
Shy Tall Knight & others have a point (weird typing that!).
I don't want to think about a Phoenix club, but if this goes to Christmas we may have to think seriously about next season.
People are clinging to memories of the Premier League (I am too), even the Dennis Wise era in the championship, brief as it was. But as it stands we are ten million miles from those days.
A reclaimed CCFC in Coventry may have to be a serious option. And I stress 'reclaimed.'
Even the threat of such a club might have a focusing of minds impact. Just the mere possibility of one.
The fan base will soon grow.
Ajsccfc, has a point also, two games in. Crowds will dip even lower, to even more ridiculous levels. I'm giving it til Christmas.
Nick, Stupot et al, forever with the defeatist talk.

Defeatist? Because I said not many would go to watch sphinx at the ricoh, you are the one saying a new club is a serious option, surely that is more defeatist than anything as its just giving up and moving on?

I like the Sunday games... not too far down the M1, then a nice dual carraigeway all the way to the ground, nice big car park where you don't get ripped off (take note ACL), tidy little ground, friendly banter with the away fans outside the ground, no idiotic fans slagging off the younger players who dare make a mistake, bucket loads of goals, climbing the league table, a nice leasurely drive home listening to CWR reports, where I used to miss it all walking home from the Ricoh.

I do miss the Pork batches though and the £5 JPT games were amazing (except the one where all the wembley day tripper wannabe's turned up and scared the shit out of all the players lol)

Still bottom of the league. Other than that typical patronising post from someone attending home games away from the city of the clubs heritage and in the view of 90% of the fan base & all the ex players hastening its very demise

Only be this season.

If we go back to Ricoh..... Saturdays
If we stay at Sixfields.... Fixture list will be sorted to reflect this One on one off.

exactly, we were shoehorned in at the last minute into this years fixtures.

As much as you are enjoying northampton it is not sustainable in the medium losing money, how long will sisu fund it, 2 years later following a relegation a midweek game v the likes of burton albion crowds wlill have dropped below 1,000 that won't be so good, 200 colchester fans today will reflect the level of away support we will get in the lower league. Do you think callum wilson christie connor and our other young stars want to play in front of crowds like we are getting at shitfields. Enjoy it whilst it lasts but its unsustainable.

I don't suppose that our opponents this season, are too pleased about having their week ends turned upside down, both officials and players alike, must be annoyed, that the FL could sanction this highly disruptive move for what amounts to purely tactical and political reasons by sisu.
It's not as if the Ricoh has burned down, making it necessary to ground share, this move is not only financial suicide by our owners, but highly questionable in regards to the inconvenience it has caused the other teams in league 1

What an excellent point and well made. Selfishly I hadnt considered impact on other teams, officials and fans.

Hey, you never know mate - maybe Fisher will build the new ground in Baginton? You can be home for when the phone-in starts (assuming, of course, you don't object to the planning permission).

:D
