They will just the playing bill and we will meander around L2 for years to come.
It will go something like this...
Relegation to league two doesn't change the fact that we remain totally determined to deliver a strong and stable long-term future for the club and you, our fans. For the first time in years, we are pleased to say the club is financially stable thanks to hard work, tough and sometimes unpopular decisions.
We share your ambitions for Coventry City Football Club. We want to see the club succeed on and off the pitch and this requires long-term planning to build a sustainable and solid club. As part of this commitment, we will develop and progress local talent through our Academy to the first team.
We also want to ensure that the club is a community asset as the community is the source of our support and we want to build on the great work of the Sky Blues in The Community by attracting the next generation of Sky Blues’ supporters through their many initiatives and programmes.
But, if we are to make this happen we must own our stadium. We need access to our own revenues not just on match days but every other day as this is the only way we can only achieve a strong and stable financial base that will enable us to compete successfully with other football clubs.

We share your ambitions for Coventry City Football Club well the ambitions of anyone who want to see the team playing the might of Kenilworth Town or Bulkington United in the Beazer Homes Z League. Remind me what Plan A was exactly...
They would just cut the wage bill accordingly. About 70% of our squad are out of contract so not hard to do.
That is what I'd always assumed but question being suggested now seems to be that it's a struggle to identify any obviously saleable players (would even Madison yet command anything like a decent fee) so ST sales become critical. If they fell to say 2k would that be enough to make it worthwhile for sisu to continue. The same argument could possibly even apply if we stay up.
I think the more important question is around what are SISU's plans if we stay up!
What will they do?
Another crappy 5 point plan that they have no intention of honouring! All talk no action as normal
Yet I'm sure you said you will buy a Season Ticket whatever ?
They have not had a credible plan since they bought the club and we have not had a proper football man on the inside since Ranson left however good or bad he was. Plan A was buy the club move the debt and hope for promotion on a shoe string budget their by making a huge profit on a resale, their was and is no plan B. They did not factor in loosing everything alienating the fan base, local community, local charity and council. They do not have a clue on how to run a football business and I believe they are locked in until someone with a lottery win or deep pockets pays them to fuck off, until then the spiral of managers and relegations will continue.

Don't disagree and this is what I always assumed. But current situation seems to be leading to some speculation that there must be a minimum level of income sisu require to keep going - in a hypothetical scenario if we are relegated, no players sold and 1k STs purchased, would that minimum income be achieved? If we stay up, no player sales and 3k ST sales would that be sufficient income?
the revenue streams by going down would probably not be too severely cut.
We are not going down. It would take a very unusual and bizarre twist of results to do that even if we lose.
If we lose, Crewe just need to win at home and Notts Co win away against a team with nothing to play for. Not so bizarre in my opinion! I'd put it somewhere between possible and probable.
Crewe would only need a draw.
I am more worried now than I was at the start of the week. TMs comments about not needing to win has fuelled that fear.

Whilst I think you are probably right Paxman it only takes three 1 nil wins to put us down which would be neither bizarre or unusual ...... bit too close for comfort
