for this coming season, in his prime, who would it be?

Think id be tempted to go for Dublin you know.

Soz if this has been done recently, just thought it'd be a bit of fun, so lets all play nice eh,

Player in his prime - I'd go for Cyrille. One of the most underrated English strikers ever. Had pace, strength, good in the air. I only got to see him from about 88 to when he left (and then when he nearly sent us down for Villa) but seen lots of videos of him earlier in his Cov career and for the baggies too and on his day he was immense!

We need a target man and a goalscorer, so yeah Dion would be perfect.

In fact can someone tell him to stop pissing around with his musical box as he could probably still do a job for us. :D

Failing that, Peter Ndlovu, I'd love to see some pace and flair down the wings. Ndlovu would be like the anti-Bell.

Dublin, proven goalscorer and excellent for defending corners / free kicks, would command in the air in both boxes something we have been sadly lacking

Dion Dublin, easily my favorite player of all time.
He'd probably still do a job now.

It was hearing about Cyrille on the radio that got me thinking about this to be honest! Could any player, ever, wear his shirt above his bicep so well!!??

we prob had better players then im going to say but for the ones ive seen play then i think its got to be

Dublin,
Gary McCallister,
Huckerby.
but my main one would have to be Hadji. I remember after watching him play when i was younger all i wanted to do as go home and try the stuff he did on the pitch. ( failed at it tho):(:(:(

can i bend the rules a little and be really greedy. quinn and dublin would make me want to run up to the ricoh and pay two or three times face value for my new season ticket.

Like many I would go for Dublin, not just because of his goals but he was a leader and a strong presence on the pitch which would be good for the youngsters.

Leon Best

Feckin awesome player.
Goal machine.
Committed, great attitude.
Had a never say die approach to the game.
Collapsed with exhaustion after every match.
Never went missing in games, or slouched his shoulders and never looked disinterested or unmotivated.

Did I say goal machine yet?

How he's not playing alongside Rooney is beyond me...

...and by the way, you're a fool if you think any different

lets have some one prolific like Ysrael Zúñiga 28 in 3.....oh sorry 3 in 28 !!

I never thought Zuniga was that bad. And we've certainly had much worse.

I'd probably have Dublin for the reasons already mentioned. Might even play him at centre half if Keogh goes.

Failing that, Dennis Wise. Or Big Mo for the lolz.
