If this shistorm ends (1 Viewer)

Apologies to go back over old ground for the eleventy billionth time but with the ever changing flavours of turd being spouted by all the key players I am interested in how people think this will end based on where we now find ourselves. Or indeed if it will ever end.

I am really struggling to come up with a realistic positive ending to the current farce. If anything the stances of the the main protagonists have hardened and we seem further away from a resolution than we were at the start of the season.

Short of an oligarch / sheikh suddenly deciding to take us as their plaything I cannot see it ending well for CCFC or the fans so am looking for some optimism to cling to.

Any positive outlooks would be very much appreciated as the thought of another season of debating the relative merits of attendance / non-attendance at Sixfields, pointless guess the fabricated location of new stadium games and petty, point scoring press releases is depressing beyond belief.

We can't circle round in this nonsensical loop forever…..can we ?!

If both sides stay entrenched in their positions on this then I can still see us still being at Northampton in 5 years time and that is a very worrying prospect indeed.

Yeah, I think that will be the case. Maybe then SISU will buy some land.

If it really was 5 years then there is little to come back to. There is only so much people can be arsed with. That goes for players and, most worryingly, Pressley too. Frustrating beyond words...

Think I have more chance on the lottery jackpot than there is of positions changing. The Council and the Higgs as I understand it need/have to get the best deal for the taxpayer/charity and Sisu obviously want everything for as little as possible. Not saying either one is wrong just that it means a new stadium is more necessary as a result.

The intransigence of all business parties involved leaves me with feeling much gloom. As for this season, I do not think there will be any move back to Coventry. A second full season in Northampton seems definite, but I'm still undecided about what may happen for years 3, 4, 5 or beyond. SOMETHING will develop. Not necessarily good either, but new personalities are bound to get involved to push the situation towards a conclusion.

Assuming the FL enforce and Otium/SISA oblige themselves to financial enforcement on player wages, City will quickly see terrible results. Club's owners seemingly have a magic bag of money to fund their losses at Northampton... maybe, optimistically, internal Otium/SISU personnel turnover will see the wisdom of returning to the Ricoh and the obvious financial benefits of a reasonable rent and 500% ticket sales increase. I will not begrudge Otium/SISU, the Council, Higgs, or ACL so long as they DO THE RIGHT THING and work toward a solution of compromise that can end the nightmare for fans and the disgrace to the game as a whole.

On the field? The second half of the season is important, of course. With the striker situation looking unsettled, where will the goal production come from to go on the massive win runs necessary to overtake 5 teams to sneak into playoffs? I think we will finish a respectable top 10 finish, but still 5 or 6 points of 6th place. I will be proud of any on field success because of the preseason points deduction. Next season, whether we snuck into the Championship or League 1, I think it will be relegation battle all season. But, I will still love City, PUSB.

I maintain Joy won't fuck about with us forever. End of next season if were not in The Ricoh she'll put us into admin as main creditor. Then god knows what. Probably liquidation as ARVO have a charge over all our assets anyway. We'll be left with a squad of kids if were lucky.

Part of me thinks at least that would bring some clarity rather than this horrible purgatory and all the associated nonsense / posturing
