I agreed with a lot of that. It’s now or never for SISU. If they don’t get the stadium this time around they never will and you wonder what’s the end game for them. If they want there money back (and more) this is their best AND ONLY opportunity.I would say if SISU can’t buy the stadium now then they need to sell the club. They clearly won’t make any profit no matter how long they hold onto CCFC, because the only way to do that would be to get to the premier league and without heavy investment in the team that won’t happen. SISU won’t invest in the team to the extent we need, therefore the only other way for them to profit is to own the stadium and make money from the exhibition side etc, or selling us as a package with the stadium. So if they don’t buy the stadium now, and they clearly won’t invest in the team I don’t understand what their plan is, they will never make their money back, it’s an odd situation for a hedge fund
You beat me to that question! I was just talking about that very same thing.One of many things I'm not sure of in all this is the Council’s involvement. Say an investor comes in and offers to buy ACL but isn't interested in the football side presumably as freeholder they can essentially reject any bid even if that bid was worth more money. Could this possibly go in our favour?
It's not like a standard administration I wouldn't think ie. The administrator just gets the best return foe creditors. I'd imagine the freehold to the site has many covenants and restrictions on it which I'd imagine would include potentially even some Sport England restriction. I think hedge funds don't like to own things but like to bet their investors money on markets that may rise or fall. CCFC is an aberration if they can turn a profit for their investors job done. I can't see them being at all interested in owning or even renting long term a stadium. They could make a deal to entice a buyer but if I was on the council I wouldn't go near them
