… after all the goings on since 2013 how embarrassing for them.

How on gods earth can anyone put up with owners like this?

The national press are sharpening their pencils and have the headlines written already….

They’re shite owners we know this but getting wound up about something that’s not happened yet is odd

This place will be fun for a couple of weeks just like the summer everyone frothing about selling the big three

I don’t think it’s odd mate.

You know how this will turn out…

But we don't though.

This is the 1st genuine opportunity the owners have had since their failed bid in 2013 to take control.

They may take that opportunity, they may not, but until we know what's the point agonising over it?

Let's just back the club through a difficult week. And it will be just a week imo.

Stating the obvious we really do need our own stadium my concern is, is the CBS the right one for us. Going back to the original rent dispute when ACL raised the cost for us to play there, there clearly wasn't enough cash flow to make the stadium viable business. Why has that changed especially with the economy tanking.
What would 'we' or anyone who bought the stadium on our behalf do to make a 32k seater stadium, exhibition hall, casino and all of the overheads for running and maintaining the site a viable business. If we were in the premiership yes with all the additional finance that brings, but currently I think its a step too far and could see us end up in an even worse position....If that's possible! Just look up if we get in again the whole stadium structure needs at the very least re-painting.

I am as sceptical as anyone regarding the Warwick Uni development but talking away all of the previous noise, moving back to a 20-25K stadium with state of the art training facilities that would attract players (rather that just standing them in the middle of the CBS and then driving them to Ryton) owned by the club/owners with no additional overheads would be best sustainable solution but sadly its so far off we are currently at the behest of anyone who will rent us a pitch to play on.

There will be buyers waiting for the inevitable administration to come for sure. There is nothing at all wrong with the Arena that a lick of paint wouldn’t improve. It’s a fantastic place and relating its upkeep costs to capacity is not as simple as it seems. Bought at the right price someone will make it work. As I have said in another thread clubs at our level are being smashed by ridiculous player wages , if they weren’t they could pay more towards the stadium management and upkeep making the package sustainable.

If sisu cant buy the stadium for the purpose of connecting the two parts to sell as a package then will are stuck with them and at the behest of Wasps mark2. I then dont see progression and can see MR getting on his bike taking the next best offer

Next few weeks will determine our future, sisu are not building a ground. So its now or never, sadly i think its the latter which potentially brings other issues that will not bring good outcomes. At the minute every rd under Sisu turns into a cul de sac..

I would say if SISU can’t buy the stadium now then they need to sell the club. They clearly won’t make any profit no matter how long they hold onto CCFC, because the only way to do that would be to get to the premier league and without heavy investment in the team that won’t happen. SISU won’t invest in the team to the extent we need, therefore the only other way for them to profit is to own the stadium and make money from the exhibition side etc, or selling us as a package with the stadium. So if they don’t buy the stadium now, and they clearly won’t invest in the team I don’t understand what their plan is, they will never make their money back, it’s an odd situation for a hedge fund

If you have knowledge that nothing is going on behind the scenes then your comments are justified.

If you have no knowledge then you are just posting drama.

I assume tax bill can eventually be paid for club finances

Stadium would come from actual owner investment?

Would you invest your money 💰 in partnership with SISU.

If they dont go for the Ground then SISU's Credibility is fucked and no one will tough them with a barge pole! However I notice Tim being a Smug c**t on saturday.

I agreed with a lot of that. It’s now or never for SISU. If they don’t get the stadium this time around they never will and you wonder what’s the end game for them. If they want there money back (and more) this is their best AND ONLY opportunity.

One of many things I'm not sure of in all this is the Council’s involvement. Say an investor comes in and offers to buy ACL but isn't interested in the football side presumably as freeholder they can essentially reject any bid even if that bid was worth more money. Could this possibly go in our favour?

You beat me to that question! I was just talking about that very same thing.

It's not like a standard administration I wouldn't think ie. The administrator just gets the best return foe creditors. I'd imagine the freehold to the site has many covenants and restrictions on it which I'd imagine would include potentially even some Sport England restriction. Not sure if I've ever seen anyone post the freehold (accessible from Land Registry) on here.

Seeming as SISU are a hedge fund wouldn’t they approach their investors and see if they can revenue raise on the basis that they could either…
A) sell the whole portfolio for more money giving them a greater return
B) have a larger revenue stream to become a better holding investment
C) have a stab at really doing something with the stadium under their ownership and host more events than currently used etc

I think hedge funds don't like to own things but like to bet their investors money on markets that may rise or fall. CCFC is an aberration if they can turn a profit for their investors job done. I can't see them being at all interested in owning or even renting long term a stadium. They could make a deal to entice a buyer but if I was on the council I wouldn't go near them

Thinking on it further, the only reason they wouldn’t want to own the stadium is that SISU are using CCFC to offset their profits to cut their tax bill, I don’t know enough about them to know if this is a possibility, but if they don’t go for the stadium and aren’t looking to invest in the squad or sell up while we are in the championship this could be the only logical reason. Especially with a lack of investment in the squad we could end up back in league one and worth even less than we are now.

But that’s what they’ve been saying for the last however many years that they cannot be successful without owning a stadium and now here we are with it being served on a silver platter

I know that's what they've been saying but personally I think it was a strategy to distress the owners and appease the fans

If SISU are “as mentioned on Twitter” one of the interested parties, what happens if they fail in their bid to secure the stadium? Are we back to owner v club scenario and a risk of difficulties over rent arrangements? The 8 years left on the current is surely scrapped now as ACL have or will be gone.
This is a worry as I am sure that if somebody like Ashley was to takeover the CBS, will SISU put a massive price tag on the sale of CCFC which just makes new owner/s laugh.
Just hope something materialists and Joy just says “that’s it, no more, I’m off”

Why didn't they put a good offer soon as wasps went into administration proper owners would have done.
