This might be a silly thought, my head is a bit frazzled with holding companies, non trading entities etc, but...
It has been argued that the rent and lack of revenue was hindering our club. Whilst pay high levels of rent but without matchday revenue streams we were always being held back, even more so with the fair play rules.
My thought was if by playing outside of coventry it freed up investment into the first team squad, thereby just enabling us to push on back towards the premier league would people rather:-
- play all home games at ricoh with that continuing to be a noose around our neck; or
- or travel elsewhere to see an improving team as a result of the extra funds.
Of course I guess that would depend on the agreement we have with whatever ground we play at re rent and revenue - surely would have to be a better deal though or what is the point.
We might win more as well as would almost be all "away" games.
After how depressing the ricoh has become what are peoples thoughts on never going back?
