Don't care if we win the next ten on the bounce whether Mowbary is our manager or someone else, the gloves are off until sisu are banished to our history books and they ain't going back on until they have.

This thread is about TM insinuating in an interview that he may be considering his position. And you seemed to support that in post #68. Why bring SISU into it?

Only this season he's building for the longer term, I hope he gets a win tonight as he seems to have a plan that's longer than the next 12 months.

Lose tonight and he won't be here 12 minutes after the game finishes.

He should go 442, play Stevenson from start and encourage all players to shoot on sight.

and 90 minutes on the pitch is the players responsibility.

Although I want continuity I accept Mowbray is desperately short of time, I would say between 1 and 5 games depending on results and performances.

Nope. We will only get out of this by having continuity and we will constantly be relying on academy players (if we still have an academy) so they need to see a route to the first team. Mowbray will come good.

If we got rid now/ two weeks who do you propose we bring in, considering the state of the club?

State of the club or not, there would be at least 30 - 40 applications. The same as when we said "who would you bring in" last time.

30-40 applications don't mean they will

a - be better than Mowbray
b - get along with the owners

And they are all going to come to this club given the ownership situation?

It will be exactly the same as when Pressley went.

We need a decent lower league manager.

10 year contract for Mowbray if serious is insane.

Allardyce had a 100% win record in his last job and is available. And his ethics match those of SISU.

i'd hope that the players adopt better the devil you know approach,
the owners refusing to speculate leaves TM somewhat isolated

He probably spends more on chewing gum than we can pay him.
I can see him going to Villa.

not a case of him walking , its who is out there to replace him , who would even come to the club , my strong belief is we need someone with links to the club , and some one who can work with youth / young players . Who ever comes in would I'm sure , have to work with what we have now , simple as that , and dreading when the loanees start leaving .

That is not true. Being 24 now is not the best way of assessing how good the manager is. There are so many other factors. Besides which most teams won't finish in the exact position they are now. If in 5 weeks we are 13. it doesn't mean he is now 13. best manager in the league.

I desperately want him to win tonight. We might get a bounce from a new manager, but I can't see it being a long term one.

He's been appalling and I don't think the players he has brought in are particularly good. However, if we get a new manager then they'll be stuck with his shit anyway.

Probably a mid-table finish this season and then go for it next year is our best hope regardless of manager now. It's frustrating. This should have been our year but he fucked it up.

We need to go back to basics tonight. 4-4-2 with wingers getting balls into the box and defenders clearing their lines. when things are going wrong sometimes it's better to do the simple stuff. League one players are not going to be capable of playing some of the more expansive styles and we need to do something to grind out a win.

I want Mowbray to stay, fed up of us changing managers all the time for a short boost to coincide with our continued decline. BUT I wouldn't be surprised to see him go after a poor show tonight.

If we are in the market for a new manager I hope to god we look down a league or two at someone who is having success, our delusions of being a big club mean we're always picking up managers on a downward curve because they've been in a higher league.

Tbf we've never been a less attractive club to manage, no manager with a high stock will look twice at us.

We will be looking to strike lucky with a nobody or someone looking to rebuild a reputation like Westley.

Why not? It's a win win for the manager. If they do okay then they're a hero if they fail no one blames them just the owners. Mowbray has never managed this low yet he took the job. Alot of managers will take the job as the longer you're out of work ou are quickly forgotten about.

He seems like he's beat before we even play the game lately looks like he knows he's screwed up the new system clearly isn't working don't understand why he had to change and didn't just build on the progress made last season as a whole finishing 8th. Too many changes in the summer where as the previous summer he kept alot of the squad for continuity. Persisting with this formation he will fall on his sword like pressley did when he changed systems and refused to change back when results were bad. I just feel mogga has given up I HOPE I'm wrong but just can't see him turning this around
