If they build and I repeat if they build this "new" ground and if it is not 100% in Coventry then I will not go.

What if it was 99.999% in Coventry but one part of the east stand jutted out ever so slightly and was just in Bedworth, would you still not go?

But I don't like speedway and anyway they have always been there, from when Coventry was part of Warwickshire.

Perhaps we should start a petition to prevent the Coventry Bees from using the cities name when it actually plays in warwickshire.

Well you would need both councils permission to do that and as they have different planning laws that wouldn't happen.

No because it wouldn't have been done by our owners out of spite.

What if the new ground details came out, it's 5cm outside of Cov. Sisu then sell up and apologise and we get new owners who invest £500m into the squad and surrounding area.
We get promoted twice in 2 years and all season ticket holders get a hand job off Kate Middleton at half time.
Would you still not go because you hated Sisu?

Just think that surely City fans's argument has to be;

1. We are playing 34 miles away.

2. That we are likely to do so for the foreseeable future.

3. That the talk is of building a much smaller stadium with a vastly reduced capacity when we have a perfectly decent stadium here already.

4. That if we do have success and a great deal of success, then that the new stadium will not be big enough for us.

Surely these points are way, way out there ahead in the league of concerns rather than any planned new stadium being a few metres or even a couple of miles outside the city boundary.

Basically what I was saying but with bullet points.

At the end of the day if they do build it, it won't be finished for 4-5 years by then who bar a handful will actually give a fuck.
Stuck in the lower leagues no supporters and cunts as owners with a debt of over 100 million.
Try explaining that to your families.

You still dont understand do you yes I hate Sisu but if they went back to the Ricoh I would buy a season ticket. For me this is a statement its to do with watching what has happened to my city since the late 70s. This City has been raped over the years and these bastards are buggering it enough is enough.

I do understand, completely, I just find it strange.

The main strange thing here is when one person breaks the quote tags and then every subsequent person just runs with it and it ends up with people looking like they're talking to themselves.

It's not just the idea that it will ever get built & outside the city boundary (God knows where?) But the very idea, the fecking insult of a 12,500 stadium. Any self respecting City fan should put two fingers up to Sisu on that issue alone.
How anyone could show even the slightest support for them I just do not understand.
Someone said earlier on this thread that Sisu don't operate by the usual rules. So right. A few here need to wake up to that. Ruthless just doesn't cover it. And some of you white hankies go along with them.

did the bees not have to move out of cov. because of the noise when they where in Lythalls lane at the old greyhound track? or am I more senile than I thought

I'll start going when Timmy stands at the gate and kisses me every time I walk in. When I'm being fucked I like to be kissed.

Given that our last ground was hardly in the heart of the city then I wouldn't be crying over a couple of miles

I think its all bullshit but if they do build a ground it has to be in Coventry ideally central as possible other SISU will not get any fans going there.
If ACL are thinking of getting another anchor tennant for the Ricoh then what is stopping SISU getting planning permission for a new stadium in Coventry. Why oh why did we ever leave HR.

Well you would have to say that if ACL did get another tenant in it would then surely aid Sisu's case for building a new ground, simply on the basis that they then would have nowhere in Coventry to play.

In an ideal world for me have a premiership rugby club at the Ricoh and CCFC have a new stadium with a 24000 capacity stadium centrally located, close to the pitch and not a bowl design.

Jeez when was that, I remember going up to see speedway at Brandon in the late 60's & it wasn't a new stadium then. I'm afraid Lythalls Lane is ancient history now.

How many threads and comments will be wasted on this 'dreamboat make believe SISU stadium'. There is not a chance that it will happen, more than anything because the hedge fund will know it's too big a gamble and that many will not follow as they haven't to Northampton! This debacle will only end when SISU have lost enough money without still getting their own way. The JR is key to them, if they fail {as they should do} then they'll dump the whole shebang and they won't even look over their shoulders !

Fully agree. It's step by step from SISU until they run out of options and fall off the cliff edge. Then they will take us with them unfortunately :(

If ACL found a new tenant, there is nothing to stop SISU sharing the stadium. That would be more financially beneficial for the club & fans than Northampton or a new stadium build - but not for SISU as they have a different agenda around freehold land for development.

It's a good solution for the Rioch for sure, to have two tenants. Whether that would mean a much reduced rent as a result though is debatable.
