Gutted with the late goal but we played some good passing stuff and young clark should of won the game for us.

Im now fully behind AT and enjoyed some good attacking football. With Sheff and King in the team we would of won by 2 or 3.

I think King and Sheffers to our the key players in this system at the moment, i would hope by the start of next season we would have more key froward thinking players.

I totally agree. When those 2 are on form and played in the right positions in the right system we are a very hard side to beat. Without those 2 we are distinctly average.

I am not too sure about McSheffrey, he has had about 4 or 5 half decent games all season where he has a couple of moments of class. I wouldn't want to rely too heavily on him.

All 5 games under Thorn! Against Derby he was a class above and looked like a player who was happily playing with freedom! We have missed him in the last 3 games!

Personally i think we should be looking in the academy for players! Reading and Watford have shown this season what you can do If you bring academy players through! And i know we have a few decent players coming through, so why not?

From what I heard we deserved more from the game - could easily have won it, but to give away another late goal shows our weakness.

In this system I dont think it is King or McSheffery are the key- not under playing their roles ...... but the key to actually being successful over a season is a strong back four. At the moment the defence lives on a very fine line between success and failure. Yes the performances going forward have been great to watch but the defence has been a bit rocky and as yesterday it can cost us no matter how well we play going forward.

Quite happy with Thorn as boss however i hope that there will be a bit more attention paid to the defensive side of the game, giving goals away in extra time & from 20 yds plus is getting annoying now.

Apparently we looked like the only team who was going to win for large part's of this game but didn't take are chances. :(

Any chance of you creating a thread with player rating's since you went to the game SBS?

It would be much appreciated.

Cracking interview with Mowbray in the CT I thought. A true gent and gracious in victory, I really hope SISU read what he said about our style of play and how impressive it is to have changed it so quickly. In fact, if SISU read that and heard Nick Pickerings reaction on CWR, that should be enough to sway anyone! Unless by hearing Nick they thought they were listening to an Alan Partridge re-run! :p

Shame we didn't get Mowbray when he was linked with us-he'd have had these players playing this style from day 1 of the season. Where might we have been by now?

certainly not suggesting 10 behind the ball SBS, far from it. However if we keep shipping silly goals, ala Boro, Scunny etc then the attacking flair will disappear through lack of confidence, and we could return to dismal runs of results all the same. I am sure AT is aware of that and is working on it. I am concerned we didnt close the game out but more concerned by the fact that in a couple of games players have run at our defence through midfield with precious little to stop them (except Clingan who physically cant be every where!)and our defenders backed off allowing the shots. Sure AT is aware of that too. Is early days with the new style and it will improve with practice

I think Turner returning to central defence will help, not just with his defensive ability but also he is one of the leaders on the pitch a real presence. Look at the present back four do you see a real leader ? I dont want to change the present system but I do think there are ways and players to improve it. We are not able to play on the edge all season defensively. Top teams dont concede many goals
