Have to say I've always had a good experience in the shop. As TheFerret says they are in the front line and I've heard people complain about stuff way out of their control. I work in a customer facing environment on occasions and I get it too.

I was in the shop of Saturday and had a pleasant chat with the woman serving, just after she had spent 5 minutes listening to some dullard moan about Tim Fisher. They are on the front line and tend to get all the shit.

Week before though,when I was getting my season tickets, it was completely different. The woman was cold, abrupt and didn't make eye contact once. My little boy was buying his first season ticket and was really excited but all the woman could do was state that I needed photo id for my son - even though the age cut-off is 12 and he is the smallest 6 year old you will ever see. I asked her a couple of questions but all I got were one word answers.

I think some people are too quick to moan sometimes, but the service at the club shop really isn't good.

The large lady (sorry), who has been there for donkey's years, is always nice. Well, nice to me anyway. Always find her very polite and happy to chat and she's always been really helpful.

Yes, she's always been polite and helpful with me too. In fact, once she let us have our discount when buying something even though I'd forgotten his JSB card.

Some spectacular missing the point in this thread. Regardless of the policy this is awful customer service, something that has dogged the ticket office for as long as I can remember.

Though in saying that, no-one else would be able to get into the shop.


She's lovely though.

Totally agree, not got a bad word for the ladies in the TO, I think the lady you are referring to is Sheila(?). As I live so far away, do most of my business on-line or over the phone, the latter has always been a fairly pleasant experience (or was that another phone number?). I found them very helpful when we moved back to Ricoh, firstly getting my seat moved from the Nth to Sth stand and then back again when the seating arrangements changed again. Also this closed season when having to move from the Nth stand to the East stand,got my reserved seats moved starlight away to block 21, and will be paying for them on 30/06/2015.

Sorry to hear other people having issues, but for me, never had a problem with them.

Does anyone out there know where I write to Mr Waggott ?(or is it Timothy ?) - is it Ryton training ground ?

YEah agree, she dealt with us firstly on returning to the Ricoh and then the move from North to South and back again. No complaints.
