I've been reading quite a few comments on here over the past week about Hussey performing badly, and getting skinned by the likes of Stephen Carr, but i feel like i need to make a point of defending him.
I didn't see Bury, but against Leicester and more-so Birmingham on Saturday he was left so exposed that he had a near impossible task.
On saturday in particular, a few people have been digging at him, but the truth is McSheffrey was utterly dreadful for the entire game. He's always had a problem defensively, and he is terrible at tracking the full back. Stephen Carr is probably the most experienced full back in this league, and given the opportunity given to him by McShef, he pounced on it and bombed forward as often as he could.
Of course he's gonna beat Hussey a few times, he's bound to, he knows the game and his position so well. Hussey is still very inexperienced, is playing at this level consistantly for the first time, and had pretty much no help at all.
He looks really promising, and he'll learn a hell of a lot from these games. Lets not start to destroy him just yet
