I’m quite hopeful (although I’m hoping the bits under the arms are a bit more discreet) but at this stage and with the possibility that the kit is in quarters can I be the first to mention Wycombe Wanderers?

Not a fan tbh...

Goalie kit looks nice.

Click on the second link and hummell show the away and goalie kits.

The better, more professional photos make the kit look incredible.

100% better than the Nike rubbish.

People who don’t like these kits 100% think korma is a bit spicy.

Totally unique kits. That's the most important thing. They will grow on a lot of people.

Reading the replies to that tweet from Hummel, fans of other clubs seem to be raving about it.

Like the “Lets all sing together” inside the collar. Nice touch.

Really nice kit.

I’m amazed people aren’t keen on the kit. I think both home and away kits are bloody beautiful. Best for a good few years in my opinion.

I like how Hummel are promoting it also, whereas Nike let us use something out of their catalogue but have no clue who we are.

I think the ‘Let’s all sing together’ was such a tiny noticeable thing

I was sceptical as Hummel is something I associate with Villa, but I’m won over, frankly!

The away kit looks better than the home one, and they both look better from the front.
They both look awful from the back.
But not the worst kits we've ever had.
That's my opinion anyway.

I complained on here yesterday about the kids shirt price which i think is way ott. I just went on the site to look at it and added personslisation which is another £15. Shorts are £20, socks £10. That's £87 for a full childrens kit. Bearing in mind that there's no vat on children's clothes, its outrageous imo.

I only have one to pay for, but if you have more kids or they want home and away it soon mounts up.

Completely agree with this. I bought my boy one because I promised I would, but refused to pay £15 for 2 letters and a number. £42 is extortionate anyway. Stunning kits though.

Ahhh never mind. If you google ccfc store and then go to the first link it’s ccfc.clubstore.com which must be the old link or something.

Finally figured that out and have been accessing via the link on the main ccfc page and now every medium or large is sold out!!

How can that be when they are pre orders for three weeks time? Any ideas when they will be back in stock?

Still no idea why Hummel decided to put the daft white stripe under arms.

Why not just all skyblue?

Just seems a daft decision (only takes away slightly from brilliant design btw) and am sure when in hand will look better.

@kapowaz you may have already seen but Watford have an open call to design their new badge, thought it might be of interest

Design the new official badge for Watford Football Club!

Yeah, I had seen that. I’m a little sceptical of this kind of thing though... lots of people will try, most people won’t get any recognition (let alone reward) and the club gets to use something for a fraction of the cost of a proper design process.

I think they could probably have a professional redesign it without much fuss and keep the same basic elements. Evolution rather than revolution.

Looking back how did we go from winning the cup to not even having a shirt sponsor 2 years later?

The more I look at the kit the less I like it. Especially the full kit, there's way too much going on. Looks like a Pro Evolution Soccer 5 master league effort. And I loved it when I first saw it.

Garry don’t hate it and have bought both.

Just being picky on what is a great shirt.

I'm the opposite, I was hoping they'd just reissue the old one because a modern version would probably be a bit disappointing but I absolutely love it, wasn't massively enthused about the away but that's won me over too. Best kit we've had in years are this season and the 60s tribute puma one, both made for us rather than template kits so I'm glad we're finished with Nike

I’m am slightly amused by the fact we have a kit made for us of an old template kit! Give it 30 years and people will be loving the retro version of last few years efforts.

There’s a big difference between the original 1986 Hummel template and the template shirts of today: they made that template and it was used by half a dozen or so teams, all of whom were relatively big clubs. After that, they moved on to new designs and the template was abandoned.

The modern template kit scene is far more cynical: Nike and (particularly) Adidas now produce bespoke designs for a handful of their elite sides (Arsenal, Barcelona, Juventus, Real Madrid etc.) and everybody else gets a kit based on a template that is not only shared across dozens of professional teams, but is also sold directly to amateur football teams, often literally the same kit with the addition of a sponsor and badge. Sometimes this means they’re selling a kit for £60 that you could literally buy without club badge for about £15 at retail.

Compared to that, Hummel releasing a kit for only us which is a throwback to that relatively-limited scope template doesn’t feel cynical or cheap to me; it feels like a genuine attempt at creating something for the fans.

Even the biggest teams share templates. Spurs had a Barca knock-off as their third kit last year I believe.
