Hard to watch but it’s great to see us grind out a point when pretty much everyone’s off their game
I think he knows his days are numbered hereNot quite sure what's happened with Torp. He just hasn't been the same player for quite a while now.
Been pretty average every time he pulls the shirt on lately.

In a different season the same performance would have been 7s and 8s and praise for a gritty and determined show.
I think the illness he had over winter hit him pretty hard. Not quite sure what's happened with Torp. He just hasn't been the same player for quite a while now.

Agree - it must be something like that. He was so effective early season - it's clearly not down to his ability that there's been a drop off. On a side note, although he was slightly off it last night, you could see how important Onyeka is to us. He always seems to be in the right position to find a pass or break up play in the middle of the park. He got caught on the ball, and his passing was a bit off last night, but his positioning and general self assurance is so important to us. Nice if we can pick up a younger version of him in the summer for next season, as support/cover/the future.I think the illness he had over winter hit him pretty hard.
Whilst agree to degree, think that’s a little harsh.Unfortunately bar one purple patch of goals, Torp has been very inconsistent. He had great technical ability and knows where the net is. But he’s not mobile or quick enough to play in any midfield role. His good performances at the start of the season weren’t that really - they were masked by his goals.
We kept putting in long throws against their massive team. It was bonkers.Kitching and Lati did excellent defensively last night, but we missed Thomas as much in their box as we did our own. We won nothing in the air and MVE's throw ins were even more pointless than usual.
And his wages covered whilst he was here, good business, sold £7-8M.If it is, he will leave for £5m +, having arrived for half of that. He was on fire at the start of the season and was playing out of position yesterday after not playing much recently. He will enrich the midfield of most championship sides.
Don’t get why we insist on the long throws when MVE is as knackered as he was in the late second half. It becomes a liability if anythingKitching and Lati did excellent defensively last night, but we missed Thomas as much in their box as we did our own. Yeah, but for me, it's not just one game. I rate the guy, but I don't think he's played well for a while now.Torp didn't play very well last night, the Hull press meant we kept going long too often and when we did get into the midfield, it was often too congested. It also didn't help that Wright didn't hold the ball up at all, so there was no one to play off. It's easy to have a pop at Torp, but he wasn't the only one that was poor last night, in possession we were pretty poor especially in the first half.
I'd also add that Rudi struggled to impose himself in the 10 when he came on too. Which shows how difficult it was in there.
I gave Torp a 5, but I'm not writing him off after one game, in a very difficult tight game.
To be fair he's hardly played since Onyeka signed, just the odd 20 mins here and there.Yeah, but for me, it's not just one game. I rate the guy, but I don't think he's played well for a while now.
Yeah, agree. Would have expected a bit more impact though in those games. Some he has come on for you have hardly noticed he's on the pitch. To be fair he's hardly played since Onyeka signed, just the odd 20 mins here and there.
He's more entertaining when he swings his foot and misses the ballSimms offers so much more than Wright, especially when we're not free flowing.

Such a shame, because this is coming from someone who rates him.
