I agree he is who he is and won't change. So far this season he's offered a bit of quality in the final third (not today you tit).

He is no doubt a luxury player and a maverick. I think alongside the right players and in the right system he is a real asset though, even if he thinks football matches are only 60 minutes long.

Once Allen and o hare are fit along with Ayari he will hardly feature in the starting 11

We are a decent side but functional at best it’s very boring and two up top isn’t working

squad balance isn’t right atm

fading in games and fitness a worry

Don't get the Ayari substitution, was he injured or just knackered ?

No Drawfy the wasn't that good but not everything is he fault.

There was a move in the 2nd half where the move broke down because Simms played the ball behind him and yet Palmer was still the man at fault according you folk.

Why do you need someone to hate each year?

Yeah god knows how Godden didn't score with the service he gave him, or how the hull keeper saved his numerous amazing shots, or how he won so many important headers, or how he drove at them beating his man every time and managed to stay on his feet... Oh wait none of that happened.
Yeah. I don't think you moan at godden cos he got the goals to back him up this season already but in Isolation ,wright was our best striker tonight.

Same old issues, we’re not creating chances in open play and the issues stem in midfield.

A decent point nonetheless even though it’s frustrating to lose another lead.

Yes this.

He was awful tonight, but a few people seem to be enjoying that fact way too much.

Strange behaviour.

I think we will end up seeing Allen in CM a bit more the way things have planned out in the transfer window. I think O'Hare / Palmer would be a good combination. Not seen enough of Ayari yet but he looks a talent.

Palmer did poorly with that imo but the bigger crime was Simms not playing it ahead of defensive line for mVE to easily sprint onto it

I suspect you think most of the team has? We have to work with what we have. O'Hare was equally flawed before his injury, just in different areas.

We have a squad that we need to develop. It is where we are as a club.

Fuck it. Had a beer and pissed off.

I don’t rate Wright or Simms. Both absolutely lightweights.

Both do fuck all when a starting, and you aren’t screaming for either to come on to change the game either. Don’t give a fuck if it’s still “early”

May well bottle this in the morning.

Forwards became isolated when Ayari went off. He was linking play effectively. Replacing him with Palmer meant you had to also replace Godden with another midfielder to shore things up.

Palmer’s usually does almost everything brilliantly and delivers nothing, tonight he did nothing right and delivered nothing. Atleast usually there’s an element of entertainment!

No I don’t.
Palmer has no pace, can’t pass, no link up play, no awareness, that’s not Callum OHare, who’s twice the player donkey Palmer is

Yeah definitely should have played the early ball to MVE. Who would then have been 2v1 against the defender with Godden

Good to see that Simms, who’s hardly played for us, is being singled out.

I’d start with Simms. Wright hasn’t done enough to start in my opinion. Someone said earlier that it may well be Simms that becomes the success and I’m inclined to agree. We are missing Viks ability to create as well as score. Worried we may have bought 2 out and out strikers with no service

It's because it's his first start. You don't just chuck new players in that aren't match fit for 90 mins, in a demanding position, and let them see out the whole match. That's a recipe for injury.

Im not worried yet , we all knew our first few games were difficult and I don't think we've done too bad so far .
Hopefully Allen and O'Hare aren't far off cause we miss both of their energy .
