How well will Wrexham and Birmingham do? (11 Viewers)

The vast majority of signings in the Championship would struggle to get on our bench. Most sides look weaker. Even WBA look like a bottom half club now.
It is impossible for every team to get better every year. Every team says that they are strengthening their squad is summer but if that was actually true then you'd have to assume that the football is improving year on year and it is on a never ending upward curve in terms of quality.

Of course, that isn't the case. Some teams will be weaker and some will be stronger and the league table will show us at the end. If indeed WBA are a bottom half club this season, that means somebody else has also done better. That's what makes the championship an exciting and competitive league. It won't be weaker.

Regardless what you think of Birmingham in terms of how well they do this season, with everything I've seen from signings, money they're making by other means, and the buzz around the club in general, they'll be knocking on the door constantly and inevitably get promoted. They will just attract too many to the project and no doubt pay higher wages than most other clubs can outside of the parachute teams.

I live in Birmingham(unfortunately) and their fans have always said, (which feels like the opposite in our case) that when they sell out their stadium, they always seem to win and I suspect with the current hype that this will happen a lot. They sold out when they beat us 3-0 the last season they were in the champ, I was at this game and it was unbearable to watch.

I fear them more than most teams this season, not because of stuff on the pitch, but all the bollox off the pitch we're gonna have to endure from Tom Brady and the cringe drama with Wrexham and the media bumming them in general.

I think Brum might do quite well but promotion? No. Somewhere around 8th/10th . This league is very hard. Wrexham, be lucky to survive. The bubble will burst and Hollywood will depart fruitless.

I don't think there is a single team who look like being a runaway leader. Top 6 will be chopping and changing a lot. Think we have a settle squad and good bench. Stronger than last season. Combine that will Wright fit, Rudoni continuing his form with Lampard's one on one and I really think top 2 is possible. It's all about the start and those all important momentum games in the first 6 or 8 fixtures.

I've been watching the Blues documentary on Prime. That league is so shit. Feels like we've come a hell of a long way since then. Despite the money they're spending they both look tin pot compared to us.
Brady is so American lol. Like their adults are all big kids.

"Stay in shitty league 1 for the rest of your life"

When they lost to pboro in FL trophy

I love the optimism haha!

Forgot to reply to the original question from the OP.

Both shite.

If either / both of them have a good season, they are still shite because they will still be the same football teams with the same fans and owners.

Did he train with Everton recently or something?

Just about to get his contract cancelled by Cesc Fabregas`s Italian team - Como and there`s talk of retiring from footy at the age of 28.

All a bit odd, as there`s no mention of why they`re letting him go - misconduct, fitness issues etc.

Have a look at the transfers so far. Hardly anyone have signed anyone decent. Norwich have but have lost the players that scored about half their goals. Birmingham could well be a threat. Ipswich should be in the top 2. Big questions about most other sides.

I certainly don't see 3 sides getting over 90 points this season. We're the closest to doing what Leeds did last season.

He played 10 minutes for them, got a straight red card and then didn't play again for the rest of the season. Threw it all away. What a waste of a talent.

I'm looking forward to the tifo that their fans are furious about.

It's funny watching them implement things like lightshows. Goal music will be next.

Saddo that I am, I went through an article that asked local journalists for each club who their top 2 would be, and who their top 6 would be. A small number had us top 2 (including one who had us as Champions, and that wasn't Andy Turner), and 18 had us top 6. Only a few had Birmingham in the top 6 (none top 2) and none had Wrexham anywhere near.

Not saying local journos necessarily have encyclopedic knowledge, and ultimately their opinion means the square root of F all, but interesting to see the perceptions.
