Purchasing the club in 2022
Refurbishing the training ground
Pitch / Turnstiles / Floodlights at the CBS
Purchase of the CBS

Not sure how much I would include for player purchases as these would be largely funded by Gykores and Hamer, and a huge increase in revenue (ticket and merchandise)

It has to be north of £40 million ?

Think we’re still a few million over what we got on transfers. Possibly not if MvE goes.

We've spent loads more than what we received from Vik and Gus at this point. It's getting like Liverpool fans claiming the sale of Coutinho funded their billion pounds worth of incoming players for a decade.

Who else have we sold under King? Binks and Palmer, anyone else we got a fee for?

Let’s ignore that as it can’t have been much and say £3m for those, £27m for Vik all in now? £15m for Gus. Thats £45m.

Then

Wright 7.7-9m
Simms 3.5-8m
Kitching 4.5m
Rudi 5m (?)
EMC 4m
Grimes 3.5m
MvE 3.5m
Torp 1m (?)
Bassette 2-3m
BTA 2m
Binks 1.3m
Dovin £1.2m
Collins 0.6m
KKH 3.5m
Thomas 2m
Lats 0.5m
Dasilva 0.5m (I think not sure what compo or fees were here maybe one free)
Saka 1.5m

Think that’s everyone. Half stoned maths makes it 4-10m ish over at the moment.

Yeah I had a feeling on both. Somewhere around £10m give or take a couple of million is probably about right.

Doug King hasn't paid for any of these things. CCFC have paid for them.

What Doug has done is cover the losses generated by these things.

From memory, the last set of published accounts (for 2023-24) he had put in about £30m. Most of that was converting existing debt into equity.

So £30m + £40m (stadium), so £70m ish ?

Palmer was signed under Sisu. We got him for free but paid the final year of his contract which was something stupid like £20k/week.

And this is why I’m convinced a takeover is imminent.

Everything is geared towards clearing out within 5 years. It only makes sense to make a play for the stadium at the last possible moment given it loses money.

to someone who wants to join the mad world of football ownership a club with no debt and all of its assets is easily worth 100m especially looking around at clubs in similar positions

No, just £30m + losses since April 2024.

The club has bought the stadium, not Doug King.

Yes he will be covering any losses for the additional cost of the mortgage/loan, but the debt is with the club and the asset is with the club.

I think he has financed all ins and out around 70M - not sure how much was he own money - very little - all that investment could offset any tax bill

The debt is all owed to Doug King, so the debt is the amount he’s put in.

All other expenditure has been covered from income.

People are over complicating it by trying to work out what has been covered by player sales etc.

Id imagine the stadium is mortgaged. I think but could be misremembering that King said player sales would fund purchases and other stuff “he” (I assume the club in the form of debt) would fund. I’m not sure what FFP says about what has to be loans and what’s got and whatnot. I think we’ll end up around break even on transfers give or take £5m or so. Curious what debt we’re running up for running costs and the stadium compared to the value. We’ve got to be worth north of £100m now right?

The mortgage will be with the club, as will the asset.
When he says he will fund player purchases all he is doing is covering the loss the club makes from those purchases.

The clubs debt will have increased massively now, but so will its assets.

And if he was to now sell the club what's it worth?

£100m?

Assets of:

CBS - £35m
Rudi - £20m
Haji - £15m
Ephron - £8m
Torp - £6m
Grimes - £4m
Thomas - £6m
Kitching - £6m
Dovin - £8m
MvE - £10m
Sheaf - £5m
Other players - £20m

Despite what some would have you believe Doug actually might be a decent business man...

Frasers paid £17m, and as per DKs interview he hints they probably put about a similar amount in to repairs, refurb and upgrades. Its not unrealistic to think the deal was therefore in the £40m plus range.
