I think they may appoint someone from the prospective list of candidates until end of season. Someone who has been proven in the past but needs to do it again. At the end of the season review any achievements and take it from there whether they go with or start the recruitmant process then (I think MR would have gone at end of season anyway so would have been no different). Ps the only thing to change above scenario is if we get a hotshot like Adkins which then would have to be on a longer term
