That was the period in the game where we became celestial beings for a few seconds, as we steadily transcend onto a higher plain.

I get the hate for the Tesco bag shirt but we actually won something in that abomination so I can fully hate it. For me that JPT win was the turning point

I did honestly think the socks were black, not navy, for the first 20 minutes or so.

First game I saw people wearing it after it came out I went from initially appalled at how bright it was, to ordering one later that day. Double bonus is that when we play five a side nobody can claim they didn't pass to me because they couldn't see me, now I'll know it's just because I'm shit.

The faded tesco one yes - Although it will go down as a cult favourite cause we won the EFL trophy in it, is really was a dire kit

Can I ask about the Blockbusters reference?

Might sound silly but I also think it gives you a bigger presence on the pitch.

Totally agree. Compare it to grey, or pale kit on a winter's night, under the floodlights. As you say, it gives the team a presence, and added to the fact that we're more than a bit decent, I think it is intimidating.

Absolutely right, anyone who has played football knows, having a kit that stands out from the opposition gives you an advantage.

This is why I hope the le coqs shirt goes into the retro range as that is exactly what I thought that kit did.
It's different in that this one actually is an advancing colour,it jumps out at you.

Not silly at all, some people think that Liverpool's all red kit adopted in 1964 carried with it a psychological impact.

Shankly harnesses psychological edge as Liverpool don all-red kit

It’s undoubtedly our worst kit of all time, but that’s ok.
