I don't really see how it could be worse for us as fans. All these cuts to avoid going bust yet we're still going to be playing pompey in league 1 next year. Poor management & leadership at the very top of the club.

Sorry Rich but I dont want to be difficult, but isnt the twelve page thread on Thorn about him finally speaking about against SISU, and not fans back slapping him for putting some great effort in (and that is very debatable)

if more fans had fight and bollocks about them it could have been different

Sorry but how can you talk about fans having no passion and fight when you left early in a game of big importance and only down by 1 goal?

We can moan about Thorn all we like but he doesn't take to the pitch! What manager in their right mind would want to come to us if Thorn gets sacked?

Bottom line is that the team aren't good enough. SISU have to take a wodge of the grief because they haven't allowed us to invest in players and have sold others and not replaced them like for like. Norwood has undoubtably been our best player since he arrived but I'm sure he'll be heading back north at the end of the season and what are we left with?

Let's focus on Division 1, winning a few games and getting back our confidence and see what happens after that.

Do I think things will be better next season? No of course they won't, in my eyes next season will be harder than this. But I also know that there is no one at present willing to come in and take over a lemon of a club like CCFC.And even if someone does come in, they will have to do EXACTLY the same process that SISU will do with us next season unless as I stated we get some filthy rich owner. So yeah, lets all go out and protest and shift them(SISU) on. And then have what? A club in admin, with £30M+ debt, no ground, no assets and a wing and a prayer that someone might buy us? No ta, that's not for me as a fan. I don't want to be like Pompey or a Rangers fan that doesn't know if they are actually going to have a club to support from one day to the next. But what I do want, is our owners to be straight up with us (ala Everton's owners) and say this is our plan, this is the money we require to operate for a year, and this is what's going to have to happen to the club for it to survive.

People keep saying this, I reckon if we advertised the job we would be shocked at the amount of applications.

Bottom line we don't know if Andy Thorn is a good manager. If he had been given the same funds as Coleman and Hoofy, I would yes he should be sacked. But he has been given nothing with the core of the side been sold, Westwood, Turner, Gunner, and Juxbox we no replacements. Loans came in to late to help. I will continue to support Andy Thorn, as its quite clear that SISU had not.

as for my posts , sorry but if you have to resort to personal insults about my method of posts then you are a very odd person

Because the team have played reasonably well all season, we have just been missing a Marlon King and a creative midfielder. Sammy C was out injured e.t.c. Had we had a full compliment then we may have had more results inline with those since Olly Norwoods arrival.

As for personal insults.......Please quote me and show me when, as I haven't intended to insult you personally.

There are always people throwing their hat in the ring for managerial vacancies. Whether they are actually right for the post is another matter entirely.

most clubs who been put in admin in the past have come out stronger

whilst this club have sisu in charge it will go one way and thats downhill

Surely people can see the issue with tactics? He has made a couple of good changes this season and good decisions but the rest has been poor.

People can say all they want about the players he has, even if he had 2 12 year olds and an OAP on the pitch, if we are losing one of the most important games in our history or need a win then you don't sit back.

Yes, he may have been good with King etc but surely being a good manager means working with what he has, finding formations to suit what we have, tactics to suit what have, strong points of what we have.

All of this "SISU have let me down" stuff is trivial, we all know they haven't invested but if he hated it so much he should have walked rather than waiting until we are pretty much down to start complaining.

"most clubs"

Do we really want to take this risk.

Please note that the Administrator might liquidate a club, even if there any buyers.

Rangers FC are a good example: even though they are several potential buyers, the administrators never ruled out the possibility of liquidating the club

Did Pompey come out stronger? The answers no, they're more in the shit today than ever before. The only team that has done well out of admin to my knowledge is Southampton.

If (and it's a big IF) SISU are going to continue on funding us, they need to look at the business model that Saints used when they went down and adapt it to fit us as best they can.

This club was going downhill long before SISU took over.

yes he hasnt be given all the right tools but he has spent money and had 3 loans in so its not as tho hes been given nothing

he decides to speak out about sisu when its too late ,

also i hate sisu and protested with the other 200 before the saints game but what makes me angry is everyone on here moaning , but where were you in janauary ? :thinking about:

too little to late again as usual

There was no guarantee that that would have been a better option either. In fact somebody else could have done worse. The blame is with SISU now players leaving, poor financial management and the various transfer embargos that were used as an excuse. I hope SISU are happy as the savings made this year will not be anywhere near the revenue drop we will experience in league1.

This was a battle plan of the most ridiculous order.....I tip my hat to their complete incompetence.

Thorn can take the blame for tactics for sure and our lack of plan B or ability to change but the squad made this a tall order.

Name 5 that have come out stronger?
I can name a few that haven't...

Luton, Stockport, Pompey, Northampton, Kettering, Port Vale, Bradford City, Plymouth, Port Vale again, Pompey again, Rotheram,

It's not worth the risk.

Southampton were taken over by a very wealthy benefactor indeed-and his family have carried on providing funding after his death. However, they did well in getting such a ridiculous fee for Oxlade-Chamberlain (3 times what they got for Bale) which has helped them fund the promotion push this season. Make no mistake though, they were able to get out of League One in no small part thanks to a benefactor who dug deep to rebuild the team.

Preston changed manager when in exactly the same position as us and went down anyway. The manager they sacked - Ferguson - just kept Posh up. Genius!

And they sacked that manager half way through this season and replaced him with someone who the players dislike with a passion-classic Ridsdale!

Oh, yeah! We're the club who everyone laughed at when Orange Ken sat on the bench. We're the club who has a director who never came to a game, but who kept in contact via Twitter and came up with the idea of substitutions being decided by fans with a half-time text competition. We're the club with a transfer embargo, because the owners won't file accounts giving their commitment to the funding of the club even into next season.

There'd be a queue of promising young managers right around the block, I mean, wouldn't there?

Two things though Torchy.

1) He was right, and on an open forum has the right to say so if he so wishes

2) Be honest, when do we ever all stick together!

Hate to be pedantic but we dont know otherwise, so cant really say if it is true or not.

Also arent there any pomising older managers out there. I think some of our last few were young and promising and look how sh*te they were.
