If priced reasonably, may consider a move from the FZ into the South. Son is ready for some more atmosphere now I think.

Why do we need to move singers corner? We've had years of people moaning about huge demand for tickets there that can't be fulfilled. Surely you just now expand the corner into the new blocks.

Can't be fulfilled? It's not sold out this season?

No madness to sell season tickets in an area where you need to shift the season ticket holders out of for any cup games.

So less of the sarcasm if you don't understand the situation.

It'll be up to those season ticket holders to make the decision, as long as they're aware of moving for cup games. I'm straight in there, got to get out of the Family Zone, I will miss the Anecdote Bar though!

It's not really because it happens at any club with a split stand (most clubs )

Just nervous about moving over from 15 and being asked to sit down, which is apparently what has happened to people going there this season hoping to make an atmosphere...

Well it shows ambition from Doug. Ultimately we'll have around 28,000 seats to fill next season.

That's an awful lot more than the 23,000 home fans we've averaged this season.

Price it well and he could fill them more regularly. Charge £37-40 for a match against West Brom and Stoke and it will be empty.

Other concern is around atmosphere. Some will move from the corner, others will stay. Mix that with families or non-season ticket holders and it could dilute things or lead to arguments around standing.

You guys realise that football ground stands don’t emit some kind of radiation that makes people want to sing or sit down, right?

End of this season by definition all the fans in that end were not season ticket holders so (no shade to them) likely not the hard core stand and sing all game fans.

Anyone who doesn’t move for that reason is being ridiculous. Act as if it’s a brand new ground. Where would you sit? If you want to sing all game probably behind the goal next to the away fans, right? So sit there.

The good seats went pretty quickly last season all the way down to the opposite corner. The only thing that will lead to a load of day trippers telling everyone to sit down in that stand is if a bunch of people inexplicably leave it free because of some notion they won’t be allowed to sing there.

As much as I’d hate to think what it would do to his ego, the club would probably be wise to reach out to the drummer lad and get him to publicly announce he’s moving over there to give people a bit of a steer.

The club won't want the drummer and atmosphere moving.

Hence why the standing will be implemented in the corner. They want families by the away fans as it's easy to control.

It's a shame because we have all agreed the atmosphere has been poor since the South Stand has opened (besides Leeds).

I guess it depends on the uptake and mix, if there's an even(ish) movement of people from the north stand, blocks 1-3 and the corner, then there could be a mish mash of people wanting to stand up and sing, and people wanting to sit down and behave themselves. Could cause arguments and dilute the atmosphere if a good 30% of the corner move, but are spread out evenly amidst families and people who want to sit down

No there’s not. Not for ST’s. They keep back end seats to avoid overcrowding because the demand to sit in the corner exceeds the capacity.

Absolutely that. They and the police will be far happier to hear that the fans next to the away end will be families. Much easier to control and police.

We've never been allowed to be close to away fans before this season due to the issues at the Derby game.

If they continue the sales pattern they had at the end of this season both 14 and 15 should have available seats.

They didn't put every ticket up for sale last summer but towards the end of the season they decided to sell these seats. They are normally the last 2 in a row of seats.

This is why it’s important to shut down the silly conspiracy theories TBH. The club should give a clear message singers corner is now singers stand, and fans need to stop being weird and putting out nonsense rumours and “ooohhh what about the FA Cup games (with 15k attendance usually)??” posts.

The wilful ignorance over this change has been ridiculous and fans will only have themselves to blame is we get some shit halfway situation. There’s absolutely no reason to not move.

I'm going to move personally. Probably to Block 12 just to ensure I can get involved in the atmosphere whatever happens.

Will have to be back row as I don't want to sit down.

Yeah, they keep them for when demand for the rest of the ground is high. They are usually the last tickets to be released. One off tickets but for season tickets, it’s sold out. This may change next year with the south stand being open permanently.

Personally, won’t be moving. Hopefully just becomes an extension singers corner.

Good. If everyone moves there that’s the singing bit regardless of what the club, the police, or a minority of sitting fans say about it. Majority rules. The whiners who do accidentally sit there will have plenty of other seats to choose from.

Agreed, if everyone who wants to sing and stand moves over, it's a no brainer to move. Only issue is if they don't realign their safe standing proposals to match this.

Also, if this was to happen, there's bound to be a handful of unsuspecting people (who maybe are less au fait with social media etc.) move over from the north stand to get the sun out of their eyes and get the shock of their lives!

Yes, as I said if they stick to the end of season ticketing arrangements. Also the corner has been far less crowded this year as it seems they are better at keeping not corner dwellers out.

Well you'd better inform Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool to name a few about their madness decision to do this which they've been doing for years.

Thing is even now after STs have been sold there’s empty seats in quiet bits of the ground. The over crowding happens where the singing is. So if everyone who wants to sing gets tickets they should fill that bit easily. Agree about safe standing. Not sure how it works so how essential location is but all else being equal that whole stand home and away should be about half standing imo

Think it’s a mixture of a lot of non sat 3pm games too. A lot of times the ST holders next to me weren’t there, especially midweek evening games.
