the issue i have with jimmy's hill is i don't understand the point of going to Northampton to stand on a hill and watch football to protest about not wanting to go to Northampton to watch football. with the exception of any televised games as the NOPM campaign is likely to get good publicity from it.

or am i missing the point?

Agreed! Sheffield united live on sky all go on the hill to get the best publicity possible

Surely the point is, if there are a ton of people standing on the hill outside the ground, and very few people watching the game from inside Sixfields, it would send a very clear statement that can't be ignored. Can't imagine why everyone thinks the hill-goers are going to be drawn in to the stadium eventually - I for one have the willpower to decide where I watch the game from. I wouldn't be watching the game from inside even if I lived next door. Keep Coventry in Coventry.

The temptation to enter the ground is the least of your worries, according to my brother there were local chavs trying to sell crack cocaine to those on the hill. It's a fucking disgrace.
Do they advertise the crack on the hill over the tannoy.

Those travelling to the hill just look like cheap skate idiots as far as I'm concerned.

Stay away or pay to go in.

A few blokes Standing on the hill is just dumb and reflects badly on city fans.

The photos of the dozen or so blokes on the hill for the bristol game that got in the press was truly cringeworthy.

Thats your opinion and you're entitled to it I dont agree with you and thats my opinion. I will stand on the hilland leave after 20 minutes will not watch any part of the game. What reflects badly on city fans is that there are not thousands on that hill

In the same vein, you could say that all the cov fans who don't go to Sixfields are lazy/cheap. It would be clear to anyone with a brain cell or two that the reason we're not inside the ground isn't because our wallets will be a bit lighter for it. For those of us who are season-ticket holders, we have nothing to lose by walking in the stadium and watching the game anyway. Yet clearly we are not. Maybe, just maybe, this has something to do with NOPM?
