I don’t remember so many youngsters being sent out on loan, is it something MR is a fan off? Or is Tommy Widdrington, developing more links with non-league clubs?

I thought 'fair play to the pair of them going out on loan abroad at that age'. Having googled it though, apparently Mickleover is not in the Netherlands after all.

Great move. All for the younger players going out on loan for 1st team experience rather than just playing in the youth team. Seems to be happening a lot recently which is promising.
A lot of the kids were playing in the first team last season
Now we have a lot more senior players it's the only way they'll get regular men's football experience
Steve Taylor was, not Widdrington. So much better these youngsters are playing proper men's football instead of U23s - which doesn't do anywhere near as much for their development.

Nope should keep ponti, he’s ahead of Thomas, and offers something different to beavon from the bench, if Nazon and McNulty start.
No point in loaning him out when he has the chance to break through here, whereas the other players sent out haven’t been involved at all really.
Imagine Haynes is close to full-ish fitness after playing at QPR, thus Camwell has been allowed out on loan. Only way I could see Haynes going on loan is for match fitness after a really long (ACL type) injury lay off - aged 22 he needs to be playing as much league football as possible for his own development.
The problem is what more do you have to do and so often we have needed someone with a goal scoring instinct. At times even when against 10 men and all he has had is 7 minutes.
If he isn't going to get a chance and Robins doesn't think he is ready for 20-30 minutes. Send him out on loan with a recall option if we get a spate of injuries.
Don't get me wrong I think he deserves 20 minutes. However if Robins doesn't then give him the chance to get to that stage, by playing against men.
A player has to go out on loan for a minimum of 28 days, before you can recall with youth loans.
We are 15 games into the season and he has scored a few goals for the u23’s he’s not Messi.
He has done well yes, and because of that he is getting first team exposure here and travelling with the first time almost every week.
If he keeps going like he is he will be in the team sooner rather than later. Just have to trust Robins

There have been quite a few games where we have dominated and we enter the last 15 minutes and it's obvious two things were going to happen. The opposition had no interest in scoring. We could have had another 20 shots and were never going to score.
Once McNulty got injured, then Beaven got injured the Duck was away. Thats when you though Ponti has to get a chance (15-20 mins) now.
Nope through all those injuries and international duty he got less then 10 minutes.
All those strikers are back now and he won't get a sniff over the next month.
He can score in the under 23's so he needs a new challenge.

If he gets another 5-10 minutes over the next month. He would have been better off at Nuneaton for that time. Playing against adult defenders.
I am not suggesting start him. I am saying if you are not going to use which I don't think Robins will He will choose Duck, McNulty, Beavon and Kelly Evans ahead of Ponti.
Then give him the chance to get to where Robins things he needs to be so he is the sub he willl turn to.
I don't think that's going to happen in the bench or scoring in the U23's as it never happened over the last few weeks.
Maybe Robins thinks he will develop better under his eye than someone else?
He played 60 mins during those injuries, and in that time that players were injured we won 4 out of 5 games?
If we were losing fine, you might have a point. But we aren’t, yes he could have been thrown on earlier against Barnet, but a draw away from home is never a bad result.
