Joy? Really? I wish I knew the truth! I really hope it is her. But whoever, it’s incredible! Too much for a WUM, surely...

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. That's an expensive wum.

Maybe this is her way of offering an olive branch to the fans away from the media spotlight. Fair play to her if it is, caught us all by surprise

Also not sure if it's the same guy but just saw Lee Bradbury on the donations list, former footballer

Oh my, what just happened, I take a night off to have a drink with friends and the scale of donation and amount raised is amazing.

I don’t see anyone emails or any info, I am lucky enough just to be able to thank each one in person on the site, haven’t a clue where that sends the email too, but wow, this was set up only a few days ago and we are £2,000 more than last years effort.

To each and every one of you and those from other links, social media, the real Joy or not, for every pound raised, I salute you all, I love this club, I love you all (I have been drinking), you embody everything I have ever known about city fans and what we can do for each other. PUSB

What an amazing group.

Can I ask a big favour though, we need to spend this money, families, individuals on hard times, anyone who could do with a lift, someone who wants to take a friend or child for the first time, a person who needs help getting there with travel, please contact us, nominate them, we want to help, we now have an amazing set of funds to do so.

Thank you very much
MMJ

If it was someone taking the piss you could just donate a quid in her name.

Unexpected to say the least but fair play if it is her.

It seems very typical of her to be honest, stays out of the limelight!

Given the need to find recipients could the description be changed to talk about travel packages and any money left over going to a charity or something just in case we don't find enough recipients?

I definitely think a travel package should be offered if needed. After all, if you can't afford to buy season tickets, you can't necessarily afford the travel to get there.

Over 4K now amazing stuff really.

I think the best thing to do is but season tickets and include the travel with it as there is plenty in the pot now

I think each person might be different, they might find it easier to get to st Andrews than the Ricoh.

If they live in bedworth can get them a seat on their bus.

Yeah, every case is assessed anyway isn't it. But absolutely, travel costs should be an option if needed.

Would it be a good idea to try and get the people nominated some support/advice so they can try and improve their finances?
Are there any local agencies/charities that do that kind of thing?

Each could be dealt with differently even if it was train travel

Guess it depends on the situation. Some of them are just plain bad luck.

Agree with the travel support. I don't think hard cash should be handed over though. I'm sure MMJ can manage the various scenarios he encounters. I want 5k to be reached!!

I only know from last year and don’t want to share too much of the individuals circumstances but some had fallen on hard times through I’ll health and work not paying sick pay, some requiring an operation and a similar no pay whilst undergoing it and recovery, others had moved back home to help parents who were ill and sacrificing time with their children. A couple went to local charities, one being Zoes’s to help families have a great time with their poorly children an another set to a fostering/care entity helping families pulled apart.

This is open for anyone, whatever the circumstance, you will be considered, we will help with travel, even if you don’t want a full ST but want a match package, fill out the form, let’s help you all out.

Would it be possible for the telegraph to put a request out for people to take the tickets as not everyone is on here or social media
