relegation yet?

Let's face it, this is the worst sky blues team EVER. There is no way on earth Cov will survive this year. The sooner you face reality, the sooner you can book a room in Crawley for next seasons big game.

I would be interested to hear everyone's delusional comments on how physics can be defied in order for this pathetic little team to survive.

There's nothing like supporting your team and that's nothing like....etc, etc.

I don't think that this is our worst team. By a long chalk.

Yeah you're right Mac, no point even supporting them, might as well just start building our team for league 1 next year! Plonker! (Thats about as explicit as I get!) I'm actually looking forward to a relegation battle and think we'll stay up.

By the way, Midlands Mac, who is it you really support?

Understandably lost faith! Season after season of the shame shit and.... this season with all the goings on it has been the last straw. But lets at least try and march on shall we?!
Its bad yes! But I don't think its fair to admit defeat just yet, we haven't lost all of out players like most of you people were worry arseing about with your negativity! And with the addition of Cody AND a couple of loans (fingers crossed) we will end up with a team that is equipped and capable of staying up! Albeit by the skin of our teeth.... but thats about all we need to do! Look at the table too there are big teams that aren't achieving and small teams that are, We CAN stay up but we need some wins before its too late to stage a come back. How about waiting a bit before throwing the towel in.

When you lose or are about to lose something you love you feel a large void in your heart. I'm feeling it again and it has never been wrong before. It might take a while to accept, and maybe then I can start to enjoy watching city and being proud of them playing their hearts out, but right now I can't. I don't need to justify how much more I love my team more than anyone else. I've been around since the 70's. I've drank my fair share of Mickey Mouse's in the corner box at Highfield Road. I've been punched in the face by the old bill at Villa. But the funny thing is, this hurts more than a punch by a power-hungry copper could ever give me.

City have NEVER finished higher than 6th in any league since 1970! However, we've had some great relegation scraps and apart from the 2001 season, we've always survived. Every relegation battle saw fans saying "this is the worst I've ever seen City perform!", but were always proved wrong. I feel really down at the moment regarding our present situation, but as a die-hard fan, I will NEVER say die! Relegation? I spit at the word!

On a side note can't remember the last time I had a pint of mickey mouse, used to be hell trying to get one on away match days.
As for the team we may not have the depth of years gone bye but at least theres spirit there and no big earners wasting away there last days out here. also proberly no big prima donnas in the dressing room either upsetting the apple cart and team spirit I am sure AT is trying to install in them.
Back I know to 87 but the team spirit that year was immense it goes along way towards how the team play IMO.

probably is the worse team we've had but they do have fight and passion which can achieve a lot. relegation is a worry but not a dead cert by any stretch. Cody will be good for 30 goals!

Aye, but at least they were mostly in the top flight! My all-time low was possibly the relegation 6 pointer between City and Luton a few years back with Heath in caretaker charge. A cold, midweek, midwinter dirge which we somehow won 1-0. The highlights of the match watching Colin Hawkins head the ball away a few times! That was depressing, but boy did we need those 3 points. Think where we may have been otherwise now.

Clearly no point going to the game - lets just slit our wrists now. Should i disagree with your assessment clearly I should be committed. No point bothering to support the team this year the result has been set already

In the meantime you can sit and wait to gloat at being right come next April.

Happily life isnt so predictable

5 games in and you give up - thats not a city fan well not a Coventry one. Plenty of teams have beat the odds and they do it with the support of their fans not quitters. It might go that way in the end but I (and many others) are not prepared to give up so easily on the team we love

sorry but posts and threads like this really piss me off

Anyone who thinks this is the worst ever City team obviously doesn't remember the McAllister years with loads of youngsters who were either nowhere near ready or simply not good enough and ended up playing parks football.

Meanwhile, 5 players were playing in the park, as McAllister refused to let them train with the team. Most of them promptly became our best players under Black. A terrible manager, shame Villa didn't keep him.

typical SISU out poster??????????

or just a knob?

:blue:

I want SISU out, I honestly think they are draining the life out of our great club. But I will be there tomorrow and every home game cheering what I think is a Team with real heart and a will to do well. Survive? I hope so, I know this team will fight for every point....PUSB:claping hands:

The only other City sides to have this few points after 5 games are the 2003/04 and 2005/06 squads. Here's their teams at this point of the season against ours:

2003/04 - 2005/06 - 2011/12

Scott Shearer - Stephen Bywater - Joe Murphy
Andrew Whing - Richard Duffy - Cyrus Christie
Mo Konjic - Robert Page - Richard Keogh
Steve Staunton - Richard Shaw - Martin Cranie
Stephen Warnock - Marcus Hall - Chris Hussey
Graham Barrett - Willo Flood - Carl Baker
Youssef Safri - Michael Doyle - Sammy Clingan
Gary McAllister - Claus Bech Jorgensen - Gael Bigirimana
Michael Doyle - Gary McSheffrey - Gary McSheffrey
Patrick Suffo - James Scowcroft - Cody McDonald
Dele Adebola - Dele Adebola - Lucas Jutkiewicz
