Hopefully nowhere near Coventry ever again , they were about as divisive as SISU. Never watched them apart from the one time they sent a weaker side for a friendly at Cov Rugby and Cov spanked them

I was there for that one too. Most enjoyable. What wasn't enjoyable was speaking to w***s fans who had local accents.

Indeed lots of their so called supporters there but I’m guessing more likely from outside of the City of Coventry itself , probably Sth Warks.

Why? I would think that would be the perfect use of a stadium, men's and women's week about, given the growth of the women's game.

Even the big clubs rarely get massive gates. At the moment you'd probably say the set up would be closer to the U21's - playing at the Higgs with maybe the odd match at CBS.

I'm all for growth of the women's game, but I don't think we'd be able to justify using the CBS unless the club actually owned it.

So long as they don’t end up in Coventry again I couldn’t give a shiny one.

I was speaking to a wa*ps fan a few weeks ago from Henley on Thames and she couldn’t understand my hatred towards them.
I said we already had a rugby club in our city etc…
She didn’t have a clue about their debts and couldn’t understand why they folded and thought the owner would look after them.
She was still thinking they were getting 10,000 plus gates

Knows a lot about 'her' team then eh?

Same could be said for countless business that went under but most importantly and with absolutely no offence intended by me and with the utmost respect, the poor souls that died and those who continue to suffer would have been fine had it not been for Covid.
Not sure deluded accurately sums up someone that comes out with a statement like that.

United play at the higher level.

For now anyway, but they are a very poor side.

Look at the goal difference. -41.

Has he ever read their accounts pre Covid? Their management style at boardroom level was totally reckless and arrogant. Their reassurances were fantasy.

It's true tho. Any investment we make should be in to the current team and infrastructure

Do you not think that a successful women's team should be part of the club? If Doug is serious about moving the club on, surely it has to be?

I’ll take that as a no. Given I regularly support the women’s game and you clearly don’t, it seems as thought it is in fact you and @Bugsy who should put a sock in it.

I don’t see why it has to be part of the club it will make a huge loss and I would rather see any funds available pushed into the first team squad.

If he’s that bothered he should attend games and put money into the women’s game himself.

Interesting that women’s football has appeared on a wasps page they had a netball team it can’t have been a massive money maker as it like the rugby just died and nobody seems that bothered that it hasn’t been taken on.
If you are going to have a loss maker in ladies football why not have another. We can get involved in other things if we get the premier leagues riches.

I think it will be mandatory for all premier league clubs to fund a women’s team before long

Very dangerous game that what if you force Fulham to have a team and they say ok here’s the least investment we can get away with and put out a useless team that damages the league, there has to be interest from the clubs.

No not in the slightest. Have no interest in women's football and would be against any moves to fund it through the club

Me neither, same with cricket and egg chasing, I fear that I will accused of being sexist or misogynistic which is simply not true and unfair. I'm not interested, not against, not anti, not nothing in the same way as I'm not interested in motor or horse racing. It ain't my bag.

It's one thing to be not interested in something (I don't care for Water Polo myself) but to be against it smacks of.. prejudice... which... in the case of Woman... would be... you know, misogyny? I wouldn't go and watch Women's football (nor Water Polo as previously established) but I wouldn't stand outside the stadium (or Pool) with a sign saying "Down with this sort of thing".
