Has ML picked up the phone to ACL yet? (1 Viewer)

I distinctly remember being "reliably" informed on here the other week by the more "intelligent" posters that the initial phone call was the first step in doing a business deal and no other option was allowed by Iinternational law.

So does anyone know if ML has picked the phone up to ACL yet to get the ball rolling on this deal that they really really really really want to get sorted so we can kick off next season at home? Or TF and/ JS for that matter?

(The bit about it being international law may have been a slight exaggeration but you get my point)

Fantastic post Tony. How anybody could say that you're a moribund idiot is, quite frankly, beyond my understanding.

Someone close this thread - pathetic even by Tonys standards.

I'll take that as a no.

My tone might have been sarcastic but the question is genuine.

Surely all CCFC fans want to know if this letter has any substance or is it just opportunistic attention seeking to deflect from the possibility that have no interest in bringing the club home for the new season?

Just to add. I actually expected sisu to have announced (or a poster on here as last time) by now that they have been calling ACL but no one will talk to them.

Pretty sure you can't ask any questions and it is only between ACL and ML, keep out of it. ;) ;)

For f***s sake Tony, if you are so interested get off your arse and find out yourself.

I think ML's email has been posted on this site numerous times so if you are so interested email him and ask him yourself, instead of creating a new thread where you are just trying to create a few more arguments and divisions, because that's what we need isn't it

Yeh he rang but ACL wouldn't answer, there's a lot of it about! Happy? :)

If that was true samo I wouldn't be happy.

I would actually hold ACL to account on that.

Just because they've laid down a certain set of requirements before they will allow the club to return that doesn't mean that they can't discuss a return.

Gotta say both entities in this maintain that Coventry playing at the Ricoh is best for everyone.
Smart business people do not bare grudges. Smart business people do deals for the greater good even when it pains them.
I do not believe for a second that in this negotiation if you are the first one to make the call that puts you in a weaker position.
We have heard time and time again that no deal will ever get done via the media. Yet both sides release these pointless statements.
Say it to the other persons face at the table not via the observer, the CET or the club web site.
ACL if you explain face to face your issues about the 590k you may get a reasonable answer.
To say that you both really want this deal then just sit their trying to get leverage via statements is in my opinion pathetic and will lead to nothing.
We know where you stand now.
ACL want debts paid and legal action dropped. SISU want access to match day revenues.
It's not really that hard to see a path between the wood.
Contact each other for the sake of the fans that have been hurt the most.

It does seem that you're only allowed to ask questions of MO and not ML according to the first two replies. You'd have thought that they'd learnt something from my mistakes ;)

Perhaps they need to make the same mistakes I did in order to learn ;)

Who knows dong. The fact that nobody on here has posted a tip off from Franks dads dogs uncle in a staff canteen that SISU have tried calling ACL and they're not answering to them could actually be the best indicator that they have indeed called, someone did indeed pick up and they are now in meaningful discussions. .......

......... then again. .....

I suspect Tony is a school child pretending to be an adult. He could not even think of an original name for me - he copied astutes.

He could of course ring ML himself and ask. Almost certainly ML will talk to him. He will not though as he is frightened of dealing with ML directly.

He has no balls.

Tony I have ML's number. Shall I PM it to you and you can ask the question and report back?

ML makes no decisions. Pointless him talking to ACL really. Even more so when sisu want Acl out of the picture.

Why are we talking about ML?

Perhaps we can get him and Weber Shandwick in a room together.

Then lock the door and throw away the key.

How about we talk about the decision maker? Where's she in all this? Anyone got her number?

No I haven't but can tell you it would be a waste of time, talked to her for over two hours,I knew more before I met her than after.

You couldn't even think of an original name for yourself, you took it from a song title so I really don't think you should be judging me for using a name that clearly suits you, you are dull.

As I have mentioned before Tony, you should be ashamed using that playground bully name for another poster. Disagree with him all you want to but please... Grendull? Are you fucking 10 years old? Are you a bully?

The point that some miss is that Grendel does get stick. But he also hands it out. Fair play I say.

The only part I don't understand is that when he is called something like Grendull people like yourself jump to his defence. But when he plays the name game, for example calling me arsetute these same people say nothing. I don't mind taking anything off others as long as they are prepared to take it back. That is what forums are all about.

Or are you going to start to defend people that Grendel has a go at?

My understanding is that ML called ACL last Friday. Unfortunately they have Caller ID and when they saw who it was they didn't pick up the phone. They had told ML they needed to hear from him first by email. But very unfortunately indeed ML can only type with one finger and his internet connection had gone down anyway so he couldn't send the email.

And so the moment passed.

Tut tut - called you Arsetute once - to illustrate the juvenile nature of such behaviour - as you well know.

How many times have you been derogatory to a woman? That is what I would call it when you use terms like Mucas. But if that is the way you want to treat some women then that is your prerogative, just seems strange that some people will stick up for you over a woman when silly/offensive names are used but I suppose that say's a lot about them too.

I have never been derogatory to women - an absurd and unfounded accusation. Mucas was a parody to highlight the absurdity of name calling. I never use derogatory terms for women.

I can show you some derogatory posts about Anne Lucas though from many of her fans here now if you like.

Also of course joy seppella has received horrendous abuse on here as indeed has Nikli sinclaire.

You are on really dodgy ground with this one.

I assume you have not read any of Grendels' posts over the last couple of years then?

It's his constant put down's, belittlement and insults to other posters that make any view he has redundant to me. He is the archetypal playground bully.

To be honest, anyone defending him must be a half wit. No offence intended Samo... or Grendel ;)
