Strange question. Appreciate it was meant half in jest, but the queen to my knowledge, was never racist in any way.
Wasn't the implication.

Just seen doing the rounds, people posting up cartoon images of Paddington putting up England flags and Union flags on lampposts, and I think the irony was lost on them.

Wasn't a dig at the Queen. Just those holding up the notion that Paddington represented the true England, when he was a refugee from Peru, taken in by an English family, called the Browns.

What is it? About 52p pppy to fund something that generates nearly £2bn for the economy?
According to who? Some sources have it more like £500 pppy. The cost of keeping them went up by 54% in 2024 alone. There’s also a lot of assumptions with what they earn the economy also and the official figure is more like £1.7B. Much of that is made up from entry fees and souvenirs, the majority of which won’t go away so any official figures are weighted by the assumption that people are only visiting historical buildings etc because we have a monarchy. I’d be willing to take the chance personally.

So if you're an immigrant, you can't be against the current mass immigration influx? Nor can you be patriotic to the country that you emigrated to? Is that what you're saying?

Im a 3rd gerneration immigrant. You dont have to preach to me. I wouldn't be alive today if it wasnt for immigration. I fully get it. One of my Grandads proudest moments was getting his British passport. He was proud to live in this country (though it was his 3rd choice, he chose Australia and Canada first who can blame him?) but once he moved here, met my Nan and started a family, he was proud to call England home.

However, because im anti MASS immigration, ive been called a racist no end!

Mate, they were calling us racist in the other thread for being proud of the British and English flags and wanting them being shown. It’s almost parody at this point, bet people laugh when they look at this forum! Thankfully it’s not the real world

Millions of people each year would have came here to see the palace when she was queen, buy merchandise etc….

When she died I was actually unable to get back to the UK from Amsterdam. Every single flight and Eurostar was sold out for the day or two around the funeral and I needed to make an urgent trip back at short notice.

Normally you would be able to find something quite easily, even to a shitty airport (no BHX jokes), but there was genuinely nothing. I think a hell of a lot of people must have come over for the occasion.
