Struggled at Bristol City and outside of a few teams the French Top Flight is equivalent to League One unfortunately.

No not at all the French top flight is awful outside of a handful of teams at best it’s championship quality. The lad played a lot but isn’t of Hamer Quality.

Plus I’ve just read that he is going to Burnley. So that’s us out of the running, maybe if Burnley sign him they won’t want Hamer.

I was going to ask if you're new to here, but I think the more pressing question is are you new to football?

Least he won’t be playing against us, he would have signed a couple of weeks ago if he was going to, let alone now.

think it’s time to plan without him

It’s looking an awful lot like Allen won’t be around for the start of the season.

If it was true that his wife had been unwell then it’s way more important than football. Hope they are all ok

For what it's worth Massengo is a great player and that would be a decent replacement for Hamer. I'd rather Hamer though.

Bobby Thomas is a decent talent and on the radar of quite a few clubs. Rangers as well.

There’s too much noise about Gus…

absolutely AFC, what a joy it’s been watching him but seems his time is done,

very confident he’ll be leaving now, hunch only

If we could persuade them to give us both mcnally and Thomas plus cash it's probably an acceptable deal to soften the blow

Agreed, only think I’d have a concern over is Thomas and McNally both played RCB last year for us and Barnsley respectively, we’ve also just signed a rcb so can’t see both joining

let’s get McNally then use the rest of the money to get a quality permanent LCB and strengthen the midfield areas

£12m with McNally on a permanent and Thomas on loan and I think Robins snaps their hand off.

the one thing in our favour is it could all be noise. It was Fulham 2 weeks ago, at the weekend it was forest and now it’s burnley. All seems to be pushing an agenda but the silence is just weird. Either sign the contract or he goes. Only 2 options.

Hamer I think has gone. Just hope we get to spend the Majority of the change after player plus cash deal.

We will need to spend another £10M !.

King Can keep the rest of the Vik fee/profit. But this Hamer money has to be spent on 4 /5 quality £2.5M players (including McNally.

Yeah I agree it could work in our favour and force the clubs hand a little, I have my doubts on that theory though

You can't ask fans to join the journey, get recore season ticket sales (at an increased price), get record shirt sales, only to sell your two best players.

If money was tight I can understand it, but we've got £20m coming in from Vik. Even if you can't agree a new contract, that buffer allows you to gamble on keeping him for another year and him walking away on a free if we don't go up.

You can’t say that on here

In all seriousness vik was always going to go and as a fan base we accepted that

Gus is the one we should be desperately trying to keep, I’m not saying we haven’t, but I can imagine it getting resolved one way or another very soon

Sometimes it's out of your hands.

The issue is not spending much of the money coming in

On the other hand we cant let £15M player go for free. That sort of money really could and SHOULD improve the squad with 4/ 5 stand out players costing £2.5M
