If that was the figure then I’d agree unless we’ve got good reasons not to break the wage structure. I’d like to see him transition to captain too. Just pointing out it’s all rumour really. DK has done the job with Vic and given MR the money for Simms and Sakamoto so can’t see him being stubborn about Hamers wage if Robins OKs it.

Not sure what difference that makes, he could stay in the area and play elsewhere in the country.

He only leaves if he wants to so wether someone bids for him doesn't really matter.

Godden loves Canterbury that’s why he lives there

You good cynically say that hamer and his agent could have been leaking rumours he wants to stay while trying to drum up interest elsewhere.

There has been no stories linking him but now it seems there is

You’d think it’s a game with a bit of both to get the highest wages he can.

Wonder what Simms and Sakamoto are on? Won't be peanuts surely? Just interested in how that fits in with some thoughts that we won't pay top dollar because of the structure, upsetting other players etc.

I've just said the same on twitter but I Dont like the noises about Gus

We can't lose him. We need to do whatever it takes

Also cant lose him at the same time as Vik, 55 goals they were responsible for

Dont matter who you get in, that's almost irreplaceable no guarantees the replacements will do what we think

We did this with McAllister + Keane Didnt end well did it?

Hamer will stay if what is on the table is what he thinks is fair. He will no doubt get higher offers, but i don't think that is going to be the deciding factor. If we show we want him and if we willing to match or compromise his request i think he stays. Robins will have to get involved in this one its just my opinion but i hope we find a way of sorting this out.

Official twitter account has been quiet today. Maybe something in the works.

I think the players have had some down time today though so possibly just not much going on. It’s been nearly 24 hours since our last exotic foreign signing though so I’m getting restless.

Yeah, would have been done by now

unless we come in with an improved offer after VG sale

but I trust the club to reinvest that, which I had my doubts over

but credit to DK, sounds and looks like he’ll give the gaffa the tools to create a decent squad, but he’s got a lot to prove still

I’d give him what he wants. We’ll recoup it back in transfer fees next year anyway!

I get it though not wanting to break the ‘wage structure’ of the club but I agree with Matt, we’ve moved on as a club and we’re close to the Prem, we need to up the anti

Let's hope to fuck he doesn't change his agent, otherwise the next time we see him he'll be sat on a private jet in a dodgy outfit.

I’d hope he goes abroad like Vik. I don’t want to see him in another English teams kit.
