When Hamer sobers up and realises he sign for Shitfield United he will still have the biggest hangover in the world .
I always cringe when I see how many miles it is to Shitfield when I’m on the motorway

It’s shocking really. I could have done a better job than his agent…

Oh I forgot. His agent is Dawkins. Explains it…

Time to leave him be I think...

He was superb for us and a class character but I honestly think he'll look back and regret his decision. It's so rare that someone gets the chance to actually be part of something special and be a genuine hero for a community. Gus could have had that with us but has chosen to chase a quick move to the prem instead.

The new boys need our support now.

If they play him at CAM, they’ll not see the best of him. Not at all.
I do question his overall fitness, as it’s obviously lacking somewhat due to the injury he had - will he cut it physically in the top flight?

Best of luck to the lad, though, however I just can’t see this move working out - could be a disastrous season for them, in general. And as their marquee signing, he’ll be in for some major flak if he doesn’t deliver.

But, hopefully he continues his growth as a player - it’s been interesting to watch here, for the last 3 years. Once a Sky Blue, always a Sky Blue. ⚽️

Hamer was a great player for us. I don't get the sour grapes negativity? He has gone to the league above good luck to him. I have seen some of our best players go to our Midlands rivals when they were in the same division.

I think it's more the way he strung it out over the summer. I have the utmost respect for what he did and loved him as a player but leaving us hanging like that has left a slightly sour taste.

I think Hamer was to some extent torn in deciding whether he wanted to leave or not, but even then he could only leave if someone made us an acceptable offer for him, and we plainly hadn't had such an offer until last week. Other than hiding away when the CCFC media team came running I don't see what more he could have done in truth.

Perhaps he was torn and wanted the right move for himself? Perhaps it was the club that stalled things trying to hang onto him? Perhaps the club were trying to bump his fee? Perhaps Mark Robins convinced him Sheff United was a good opportunity for him, so we didn't lose out on a significant transfer fee? Who knows, few on here I suspect?

At least he has gone with some time left in the transfer window for us to reinvest.

I would love to know how Hamer is at fault for the transfer not happening earlier than when an acceptable offer came in. He couldn't move until then.

And as soon as an acceptable offer came in he was gone in 2 days. And he even managed his last appearance for us in this time.

I would love to know what he has done wrong other than join. Sheffield United. And he didn't take a choice there either. Poor lad.

Vik took an easy option Portugal, he will score goals in that league with half a dozen tough games. He also will get the showcase window of European games. In the Premier League most teams couldn't guarantee him a start.

Hamer has gone to the Premier League to a team where he should get a start. But they are going to struggle. Remember he is almost 27, you can't blame him?

I'd say the powers that be knew he wasn't going to sign a new deal and if the magic number was met he would be off. He deserves a chance in the premier league pity it wasn't with is but wasn't to be

Not surprised tbh when you choose to live in the one miniscule part of the city that everyone else is queuing up to move out of . Did you live there as it was cheap as chips ? ( Honestly there's a clue there ).

The positive for Gus is he should develop his all round skill and fitness. Vik is unlikely to do that. He might just cruise for a few years.
Will be interesting to see how the two of them get on.

I would suggest the complete opposite if I’m honest .Gus has gone to a team who will go down , so expectations will be low . Vik is playing for an established top European side in the Champions league , it could be a huge stepping stone for him and his future

Gyo will look to move from Sporting the moment he senses he's outgrown them or needs a bigger challenge.

Think that’s what will happen he is in prime spot for the big European clubs to pounce one day.
What is our sell on clause percentage could be quite lucrative.

They finished 4th last season and didn't qualify for the champions league.
