People fawn over Hamer but Vik has far more potential to be a proper success at a higher level. I could genuinely see him playing for someone like Man Utd as a rotation option.

I am friends with a Man Utd season ticket holder who comes to the occasional Coventry game with his wife who would happily have them sign both of them.

I said this in the Gyokeres thread that he would be great at Man Utd, PL defenders might be better but they can't put 2 or 3 on him every time he gets the ball

Not a good look is it.

Says he wants to test himself in the highest league, straight out on it.

He's going to be in for a shock.

If Hamer wanted to stay we would of publicly said it, he didn't. He wanted to move on but also wanted to be liked by the people around him. Nothing wrong with any of that but dont try and put it out so its the clubs fault. Just be a man and say you wanted to go.

I dunno. I quite like that about him. Don’t get me wrong, if he was getting absolutely smashed all the time then there’s problems. I don’t think they play until next weekend and theres something quite refreshing about players mixing and having a drink with fans etc. maybe I’m just a bit old school though

Think it was more of a case of a bit of a goodbye to the people he's been close to over the last couple of seasons. Nothing wrong with it in my opinion

Yeah but you might think as he's not up to fitness anyway he would have laid off it and got in the gym so his premier League table will be the best it could be.

He's not good enough to be like Rooney and balloon up but still control games in the premier League.

Don't get me wrong, end of seasons awards and players mingling etc is a great thing.

Tbf If Vik leaves Sporting its going to be a bid north of 60.

15% on that 40 million difference isnt to be sniffed at. 6 million extra

I don't mind them being out for a few.

A week before our next game, a win in the day and saying bye to a team mate of 3 years.

People forget they're also humans and most of them are between 21 and 30. Allow them to be normal people once in a while and not robots.

There was an interesting point in an article on sell on fees in an article on The Athletic today.

It seems obvious, but apparently you only receive them as the selling tee receives them.

I.e. If Vik goes for £70million and that's paid in 5 yearly installments.

We would only receive £2million a year for the 5 years.

Which would then result in us having to negotiate any purchase against a similar installment package. Rather than receiving £10million in one go and having money in the bank for wages and fees.

If that's 10% of any profit over £15m, we can't count on a big future windfall on Hamer IMO. Would be nice if I'm wrong though.

Edit: just read above that it's the total fee.

It isn’t a great look to be fair. Alcohol is avoided all together by a good proportion of the elite players. And plenty of ex-players on pods say they wished they’d left it alone to add a further few years onto their career.

Huh. TIL

Vertical stripes make you look fatter

The fashion gurus have got it all wrong, claims an expert in visual perception. Wearing clothes with vertical stripes doesn't make you look thinner

Feel bad digging this up again, especially as it's dying, but noticed on Sheff Utd forum - match day thread for Forest - their fans seem to think Hamer is a CAM. Interesting that although he's highly regarded, a lot of people don't seem to know where he plays.
