True I can’t have the insight to realise Dabo was worth £10 million but then suggest playing him as LWB and binning Maatsen so we can accommodate the excellent Todd Kane

You said the other day hamer was worth 7 or 8 , turns out he's worth alot more

He's a premier league footballer I imagine by midnight tomorrow

Im not being funny but “up to” is an interesting comment. I would genuinely be surprised if it’s anything like that in reality especially given Sheffield’s precarious finances.

We all knew he was off. Probably been said but with half of Hamer’s fee we could get a decent replacement. And it opens the door for Eccles…

Hamer can love the club AND be happy to move to Sheff Utd for more money.

The two things are not mutually exclusive.

Sheffield isn't great it's no better and no worse than Cov and I very much doubt he'd live there but the surrounding countryside is outstandingly beautiful, I know where I'd want to be.

Worked there for around 3 years not a patch on Tile Hill , you would have to go into Hope Valley Derbyshire for nice !

Decent yes but unlikely to be as good, at least in the short term. Eccles would have been playing most games even if Hamer didn't go.

We might get some insight , but they've just received a large chunk for a player , Sheffield media and everybody else says 15 so far

Looking at this it’s now a fantastic turn out for us as a club . £15m or nothing so Hamer has done us a massive favour so thank you Gus this is the best possible outcome.
As for moving to Shitfield I’m not sure he will like the surrounding area , it’s damp and bleak at the best of times , the golf courses will close more often than not with the rain .
It will test him learning a new language. Top and bottom of it it’s a fucking shithole.

I just love this perception of Sheffield from people who have never lived here . Keeps out the riff raff. Your description of the place is the polar opposite of the reality especially areas south of the city.

When it suits Grendels argument of the day he knows every minute detail of a players transfer fee and contract, then when it suits his argument not to know then we couldn't possibly guess at the vagaries of a contract and transfer.

But I have Darnall do I need to say anymore. The place is as bleak as Grimsby fish market , so go into Derbyshire there’s so nice places but Sheffield is a shit hole ( in my humble opinion)

edit:- and my mates who was born and still live there .

Was Gus dishonest to your knowledge? maybe he was genuinely torn on what to do who knows.

I dont begrudge either their moves and the riches they bring. We have been financially rewarded after all.

Feels like Vik has made the better long term career decision, he'll be shooting fish in the Portuguese league and being made to look the real deal (I back him to make a huge move down the line)... Gus is going into the team tipped to finish in the bottom 2, will be a real monumental effort to stand out, not impossible but could go tits up.

Darnall lol. Highly representative. Every City has its shit holes . Keep the perception up but you are so badly wide of the mark.
