Agree...also, saying he "loves the fans" and "doesn't want to leave" don't mean that he is staying too.
If the club accept an offer, he's pretty much off, despite him loving the the fans and not wanting to leave!
Can love the club, but still leave!

I never said that he said he wanted to stay. In fairness he probably wants a move to the premier league, he just said he loves the fans

You'd also have to thank the lad for signing the contract

Looking now it's Fridays training on Twitter isn't it. Either way fuck talksport they're usually full of shite, unless there's a bid accepted why would he be talking to them in person anyway

I don’t trust TalkSPORT, not any more than I trust that Nixon bloke. The idea that he may have been in London to speak to a recently promoted club and was back here in the evening really isn’t unfathomable.

Get this, I went to Plymouth away when Ruben Lameiras thought it’d be a great idea to score 2 and win. Away from the ground at 5 and back for 9.

I'm sure they still speak in person.
I don't blame him if he goes there - hopefully the stories are his agent trying to drum up a bidding war for our sake.

May be for the players sake as well as they used to get a cut of the deal not sure if this is still the case.

Can't see it being anywhere near £15m.

Anything in double figures is pretty great business.

Ideal world we keep the big three (plus Sheaf) and enhance the team. However we know it’s likely one goes and Hamer is the softer blow. He can pick a pass, run a game and add a creative spark, but that isn’t especially unique.

COH is pivotal to how we play and Vik is the best all round Striker we’ve had in a long long time. All round team wise, both are way more valuable.

Plus, as good as Hamer is, it’s only really one in every three games we actually see it.

1 million plus 14 million add ons. Including Fulham getting to the champions league and hamer getting 100 caps for both Netherlands and Brazil combined

Gus is more important to how we play than COH, he’s a different level

but that’s just my opinion

Gus would be a way bigger loss than o hare

controversial but this pivotal COH comments are only because he’s had no competition for 2 seasons so we have to play him

I had assumed that Hamer signed an extension so he could go next summer rather than this one. Along with the others who should go for a big sum and the unwanted high earners, as opposed to now when it's clear that Robins will get a pittance from any sale

Signed so that it would benefit him and also the club if bids were to come in and he is on a longer/better contract.

Its got to be the model to sell at their peak and reinvest. That means O’Hare and Hamer off this summer really. As long as we reinvest enough to build the squad quality/potential I won’t be worried.

I think for every 1 of the big three we sell, we need to try to get 2 serviceable replacements in to make up the numbers especially with a hectic fixture schedule next season. So we really need a good price to sell them at. Hope the business gets done early and that we’ve identified potential replacements so that we’re not scrambling at the last minute.

Do you really think he’s only going to get ‘pittance’ though

The fact he’s committed himself to a new deal recently puts my mind at rest that he’s obviously had conversations with the club and they have green lighted any targets he may have in mind to replace any of the big 3

Robins is no mug, if these players were being sold from under his feet I genuinely believe he wouldn’t be sticking around yet alone being happy to sign a new contract

If our owner has realistic ambitions about promotion and we weren’t that far away from the play offs they would leave any sale of any of our best players until next season

Well it's not a secret that we are servicing quite a few financial commitments at once and without external investment player sales are the main way we can fund them. In reality we need enough from any sale not only to replace the player who has left but to improve other parts of the squad.

The glaring thing remains that behind Sheaf and Hamer there is nobody of Championship quality-Kelly clearly is past his prime, and Allen is a top end League 1 player who physically really struggles against the PNEs of this world. Eccles is becoming worryingly injury prone but granted has looked very promising each time he's had the opportunity.

Based purely on us not signing a CM to replace Hamer I think Eccles’ availability or not this season could be key. In his few appearances he really has looked very tidy. With a sustained run he could be the answer.

Disagree about Allen, there were games last season where I thought he was the best player on the pitch

Robins will have contingency plans in place to replace anyone we lose I am confident of it

I agree that in a small number of games he looked the business. But so would a top end L1 player in this league which is where I think he's at unless he suddenly grows a couple of inches and bulks up. Eccles if we could be confident of him remaining fit could be a real asset but the early signs aren't good
