In the book Staying Up (I think) they talk about some players just have the ability to ‘ping’ a ball and some never do. Macca was the best ‘pinger’ at the time.

Hamer can ping a ball for sure.

Thank you. I thought it was just me. Macca seemed to just float 95% of his corners to the front post and opposition defences never seemed overly troubled by them much of the time.
