Not really sure what this is about.

When Vik was misfiring for us he was still causing opposition teams huge problems. He was fighting for everything and never gave up once or shit out of any challenge. I think that is the thing most people are annoyed about with Wright. He is doing the opposite.
Yes this is bang on.

It didn’t really matter earlier in the season when wright was struggling, we were scoring from everywhere now the goals have dried up a bit, all the focus is on wright and Simms and to be fair to Simms he’s stepped up, something def going on with wright, he looks fed up, if you can’t enjoy you’re football when you’re top of the league then I give up,

And yet there were ironic cheers before the game when he scored in practice. Can't have it both ways...take the piss then expect him to clap us.
I didn't hear those and didn't partake. I also did applaud and cheer his name. Hes not acknowledging the few who did , he'd be acknowledging the masses who didn't and have and will continue to support him.

Again, I get that, but it cant be easy. He is out of form, disappointed with his performances, no doubt. The pisstaking before the game obviously didn't help.

We were row J, quite near the front and near the goal, loads around us were taking the piss...also going.."ooooooooohhh" when he was lining up a shot in the warm up. Some fans really are twats.

When he didn't clap, I didn't clutch my pearls and complain, why would I? As I said, it was understandable.

Nobody is clutching pearls and complaining. I'm commenting on a forum that I thought his reaction was disappointing. Nothing more or less. I'll leave it there.

Yes they are totally different and hard to draw comparisons but the problem Haji has, is if he doesn't score he does fuck all , where as Vik through himself about. Fans love a tryer rightly or wrongly.

The same fans who are desperate for us to sign Piroe a player known for a limited work rate. Make it make sense.

As was i. Apologies for clumsily suggesting you were pearl clutching. I was actually thinking about those around me on Thursday. Like the guy behind me slagging him off all game, and I mean ALL game, only to moan that Haji was being "disrespectful" for not acknowledging the fans. TBH, I may have thought the same if I'd not heard what he and some others were doing during the warmup.

Edit: Also heard him say that Wright was one of the worst players he'd ever seen in a City shirt. That's the kind of fan Wright is up against, so there is maybe some context for his lack of acknowledgement.

And I shall leave it there.

Expecting strikers to be as good as Vik is only going to lead to disappointment

We should be looking at our supply to the forwards! To much of hoping they can get on it, the crossing and balls from midfield have all dropped in quality thus the chances have been limited.

Torch, if you’d been sat in block 28 on Monday, it would’ve blown your mind.
Geezer said it was the worst city team he’d ever seen 😂🤡

All cos he followed a fan site on insta.
Whilst that isnt concrete evidence, you've got to admit its a very odd thing to do if he's not going there? Or at least had the feelers put out by Burnley/his agent?

Ellis who at the time was also out of form ?
Because Wright was banging them in for fun at the time too wasnt he? Like his free header in the six yard box he smashed in to the top corner....... oh, wait, am I remembering wrong?

I think you there, have hit on the difference. Rudi and Saka are also struggling for form.
But you can see both of them busting a gut working for the team, and actively trying. Whilst Haji just ambles around seemingly sulking and showing no interest.
I’m sure he doesn’t mean to, but it looks bad and that’s what is pi**ing fans off.
I wasn’t at Charlton so I am hearing this second hand, but allegedly Haji didn’t clap the fans as he walked past the stand.

Now it’s not law that you have to, but it shows character and appreciation, maybe Haji did and someone will confirm, but if he didn’t it sums everything up about the bloke.

On the way out I did hear someone say it was the worst performance they'd seen in a decade! Haha.

Wright had scored 5 goals in the run in at the end of the season , ellis played a fair few minutes too .. you sound very bitter

The mistake which cost us the playoffs was probably not haji wright missing that header was it

No, he didn't. We were stood quite bear the pitch, where we came off. There is context though.

I’m sure there is context, it’s just the image that it portrays about Haji to the fans.

I sound bitter.... because a player played absolutely dog shit for an entire 2 legs and missed a sitter of a header that would've taken us to Wembley? I mean, sorry. Ill not be bitter next time we fuck up promotion by sticking with a striker clearly having zero effect on the game. In fact, ill smile with joy the whole following week ill be so made up about it. I might ask if I can do a dance of joy in the centre circle of the first home game of the season. Ill call it the "missed promotion again and im ecstatic about it" dance! Would that be better for you? you sound bitter?!?!

Think a lot of the slagging off is down to nerve as well tbh. Yeah we’ve players well out of form, but people just can’t hack things getting tough and the fire that’s under the team’s arse.

Truth be told MVE and his terrible back pass was far more detrimental to our playoff campaign than haji wright ..🤡🤡

Haji had plenty of ball played to him but displayed the classic case of playdoh couldn’t be bothered waste of oxygen let alone space on a piece of grass ‘quality’ that renders me to hating this bastard as opposed to questioning his selection.
I passionately want to see him hounded out of my club.
PASSIONATELY.
Oh and boy can he find the side netting!
Absolutely c**t!
Didn't have you down as a complete dickhead. Shame

He has scored some top drawer goals in his time here, but he needs so much confidence to perform. Simms little different.

Asante will keep at it all day even if it’s not falling for him.

Absolutely. My lad mentioned this on Thursday when those around us were howling at Brau and Wright. MVE fucked up good and proper against Sunderland yet seemed to escape without too much criticism.

He received some critism ,it happens sometimes look at the back pass that gave us the the 3-2 win over Oxford in the same season
