I’d start Wright although it would feel a tad harsh on Simms.

The Wright of yesterday in that cameo is the Wright who is the best striker in the league. I want to see if he can replicate that over 60 mins on Tuesday.
Millwall have big 'lumps' at the back (especially Cooper), and would much sooner be up against Simms than Wright imho.

I've an observation : Haji gets a fair number of through balls but recently he seldom scores from them.

Many of these fails are because he is either fouled or falls looking for a penalty (insert your interpretation here). But the others occur when he's through, the keeper closes him down and he shoots straight at the keeper. There was another example yesterday.

Someone should show him how to dink the ball over the keeper.
He did that against Sunderland when he scored a hattrick.

They literally sing his name every time he comes on and has a chance. I don't agree with the abuse online and think people need to do better but if he is reading it my advice is stop, don't go looking for it.
At away games I have personally seen and heard constant abuse from the minute he started til the end. At Charlton in the warm up they were sarcastically cheering when he scored. So it's far from just online.

Hatrick on Tuesday (or three goals over the next eight games) and he’ll have scored more than Vik in fewer games.

I’m sure he appreciates the advice from forum dwellers on how to finish tho.

I'm not saying a small number of fans aren't I am saying I hear his name sung and may e if he focused on the majority rather than the minority it may be better for him as a player abd a human.

You are justifying it tho. Saying he should just ignore them act like he isn't bothered. I'd be pissed off if every time I breathed a majority were slagging me off

He looked moody to me yesterday, seemed to not look at the crowd whilst celebrating and when he came over with EMC it looked pretty forced. Id hope he doesnt read the drivel online, he should focus on how his name has been sung in the stadium throughout this barren spell, the proper fans have and have had his back.

Absolutely none of that takes away from his performance, if he plays that he can flip us off every week for all i care. He bullied people, caused panic at the back and generally looked like he was at his best again.
If he played like that every week they've be no need for him to flip the bird cos we wouldn't even be having the debate.

My take is that he's a bit unhappy at being dropped to the bench.

And why I think Lampard has mismanaged the strikers. Simms thrives on confidence, and Lampard dropped him when playing well, demotivating him. Wright was kept in the team despite potential injury isues, poor performances and a goal drought. Gets dropped to the bench and a couple of games later comes on as a sub and plays like a beast.

I just get the impression Simms is the kind of guy who needs an arm round the shoulder while Wright needs the occasional kick up the arse.

Stealing a goal lol, it probably wasn't going in, but anyway Haji had a split second to decide whether to leave it or make sure.
Yea, he was right to make sure, but also right not to celebrate like hed scored a 30 yard volley at the world cup final.

If Wright had left it and Sakamoto’s shot had hit the post or gone the wrong side of it Haji would be getting pelters on here. He did what was right for the team and club. Who cares who scores as long as it goes in and we get the result

To be fair if he had left it EMC would have tapped it in.
