it does. He has told the club this. if he wanted a move for money then he’d be having talks with prem teams. Our hands are tied waiting for more bids from other teams.
So fuck you, King!

Logically it doesn't rule out the Prem you can spin it however you want but it doesn't if he is guaranteed football by a prem team.

all depends on how the sporting move materialises. if that falls through then who knows but my understanding Vik has no intention of a prem move which sort of makes this sporting move important for all parties involved

there is some hard decisions to be made by Vik and the club over the next couple of days

vik and his agent will be positioning exactly as the club are and also sporting - you are very black and white - and you were the same last week with hamer - just wait and see

Aah yes “we have to wait until the premier league teams to decide what they’re doing” has been trotted out

we need 11 new players, they need time to settle. Would be nice if they were ready for august 5th rather than September 1st

Ideally you are correct, but as last season showed how you start the season doesn't set your season in stone. It is far more important that we have as strong a team as possible come September and the season afterwards, which in all likelihood means we will have to wait, not only for the better PL loans, but also for the better out of contract players still weighing up their options. Bringing in inferior players just to fill out a 9 player bench on opening day could cost us dearly over the season, if it later prevents us bringing in better players.

Don't the supposed bids for the dutch fella and Kitching of £1m+ indicate we are willing to spend money before Vik leaves...

I don't understand why so many people think we have no budget/are missing out on targets based on nothing? There could be loads of different reasons why we haven't got deals over the line yet.

18 Championship teams have signed 2 players or less (14 have signed less than us if we count Latibeaudiere as signed).

We can field an 11 but wouldn’t it be good to have a starting XI ready to go against Leicester? The loans comment is rubbish - the top loans go pretty early, what you’re left with in late august is the ones the prem sides don’t have a place for (not to say they’re not better than we’ve got)

move said it before - we get told the same crap on a yearly basis. we need to wait until the prem teams , they need time to bed in - meaning we’re not ready until the end of September.

currently our 11 is

wilson

dasilva
Bidwell
Mcfadzean
sheaf
Burroughs

Hamer
kelly
Allen
Palmer

Gyokeres (if he comes back)/ Godden

we then need to fill 9 sub spots.

It’s not about the friendlies - it’s about putting a team out against arguably the hardest start in the lesgue
Oware? I thought i’d say it Oggy style!

Vik not wanting to go to the Prem isn’t new news. His dad was openly telling fans that he thought Vik shouldn’t risk becoming a squad player in the premier league so close to the Euro’s …..

It’s looking like Sweden won’t qualify anyway as they’re already four points behind Belgium and seven behind Austria in their group, plus they came bottom of their Nations League group.

Sporting are 3 million euros away from a deal for Gyokeres

Sporting offer 20M € , Coventry want 23.3M € .

Sweden have zero chance of euro qualification

Declan Rice deal is all but done. Will be interesting to see if West Ham firm up their interest.

(before anyone says they could have made a bid… they haven’t because they’re waiting on the Rice funds. They’ve not bid for anyone yet)

I've seen this said a few times. Has he actually said this publicly or this one of the ITKs coming up with it?

It’s all made up.

If for example West Ham say to him you’re the main striker and you get to play in the Prem, he would be silly to say no.

Clubs don’t wait to complete transactions before making bids for players. If West Ham want Vik his agent, and probably our club, will already know.

They're not interested and I highly doubt they need Rice funds to proceed

Because they have not even said they are, there has never been a single indication that they are. The West Ham link was just a lazy rumour

Just because they've not said they're interested, doesn't mean they're not.

I've not told my wife about my desire for a threesome with her and Michelle Keegan - doesn't mean that I'm not interested!

Clubs don't always broadcast their targets.

Not every club conducts their business like Sporting have, they have been pretty classless and borderline shady to be honest. There will be interest from other parties, West ham might be one, who knows.

Exactly. The way Sporting have conducted their business is frankly embarrassing. Even their own fans are laughing at their board over the Vik saga.

As if she'd frequent this place!

On that note, I've been thinking recently about putting together a document with stuff to do if I pop my clogs - like with passwords and stuff. One would be to pop on here and tell you all that I've decided to 'move upwards' in the world.

Any of you mention this and I'll haunt you for the rest of your life!

Sporting just sold Tiago Tomas to Wolfsburg for 8.8m euro (Transfermrkt), would hope that can help bridge the valuations between us.
