your lost mate - you will start quoting Ferguson and Wallace soon - tell me who as a coventry striker scored the most goals in a season outside the prem - go on tell me
And again - your response was saying that Gyokeres wasn’t the best striker we’ve had outside the prem.

You have not taken into account the levels the goals are scored at.

I am saying exactly that - he was the top scorer in that division for Coventry - you will never know how Victor would have done but a fact McNulty scored more - the most prolific stricker outside the Premier league for Coventry in a season it’s a fact - it’s not a guess - it’s real

He never said the most prolific he said Gyokeres was the best - he’s scored 21 and 18 goals in the Championship. Nobody has scored more in a season for us in the highest level we’ve been at since relegation

they scored less but McSheffrey, Jutkiewicz, King, Godden, Wilson, McGoldrick and Clarke were all better strikers

Clarrie Bourton scored 50 in a season

But surely you can only judge the person in league they played ? Are you saying that getting us out of League 2 is worse than not getting promotion from the championship?

But we do know how good Mcnulty was at championship level, he was utter shit

I am suggesting that there has been in context of league levels others that have achieved - in context more - however this specimen has shown no loyalties to the club and can’t wait to escape - of course he is a good player but he is not the messiah
To be fair, Mc Nulty didn't hang around long.

Finishing 5th in a league we’re bottom 5 for budgets is an infinitely better achievement than getting out of league we shouldn’t have been in the first place

McNulty was good for us in the lowest depth, like I said - Godden was instrumental getting us out of the league higher, him scoring less goals doesn’t make him a lesser striker

Sorry do you remember that period of free fall ? I would argue without the likes of McNulty we could have disappeared to the conference north - he deserves respect for that at least - Cov were skint - which in my opinion elevates what he did

He does have respect - doesn’t mean he’s the best striker we’ve had since relegation from the prem

Again on context and looking on all angles and aspects - the situation and the task . What was achieved goals scored
We were bottom of the league in October and Vic nearly fired us to the premier league. We were up against squad values of 50-100m McNulty was up agaisnt Luton and various pubs in the country

you’re now changing the parameters to suit your argument. You can ask any pundit, any legend, any football player any cov fan and you’d be the only one who thinks McNulty was a better striker than Gyokeres

In context of league and team achievement of scoring more goals - McNulty was the striker of a team that won promotion- I am sorry did Victor do this ?

So was Jordan Shipley it doesn’t mean he’s worth more merit points than Hamer
