Would have him back in a heartbeat, would be the first player I’d sign if we went back up, but I’m talking with very Skyblue tinted glasses on.
I would highly doubt it will ever happen.
Be fun though wouldnt it

Sell him, build a training ground. They are turning on him somewhat.
Or .... build a training ground wide enough to fit himSell him, build a training ground.
Wont be many more if he carries on playing like this.

He's only got to give us a season. If we survive then things change rapidly.Doug wouldn’t entertain him, he will be retired in a few years anyway.
He's not happy, that's all it is. Cov is his spiritual home so to speak and probably always will be. He had to take the money being offered for his family's security and you can't blame him, that ship though has now set sale. Frank will attract better players if we reach the promised land, on current form Gus isn't worth the outlay.I don't regularly watch Sheffield Utd but not sure he is the same player who left, still capable of match winning moments but often described as a luxury player from Sheffield Utd and not the all action box to box midfielder he was with us. For all the comments on his lifestyle and fitness I never felt that affected his performances with us and thought he had a great engine and always looked sharp, perhaps his lifestyle is starting to catch up with him.

MR?He had his chance to play for us and he decided that he didn’t want to.
That was entirely his choice and I respect his decision. However as far as I’m concerned you only get to say once that you don’t want to play for us.
We’re second choice for nobody
Doubt he has any motivation to play for them anymore, it's a dead end. McSheffrey.

Gus obviously has a connection to Cov though. His spiritual home is anywhere that pays him the most.
Of course he does. We have some of the best kebab houses in the UK.Gus obviously has a connection to Cov though.

He chased the money and ending up in a coaching set up headed by Wilder and what appears to be non existent fitness and dietary mentoringGus has wasted his career.
Did you expect to keep him on the money he was paid by us or Shef Utd plus he had a taste of PL football. He chased the money and ending up in a coaching set up headed by Wilder and what appears to be non existent fitness and dietary mentoring
Enough to ruin any creative midfielder's career
That was not my point. It was obviously that it was a shit club to end up at . The move has done him no favours at all from a career perspectiveDidn

We have moved on from Hamer. The money from him has done us good.We need to move on from Hamer..we are almost above his level now. And hes one from the past and is past his best/peak imo.
