Isn't it amazing how many people are taking wasps word? Almost as if they are immune to bullshitting.

This situation is testing my patience.
I had a hell tof a job hanging in after the Northampton fiasco caused entirely by my clubs owners and we are entering the same territory here once again. Willfully and knowing what the outcome will be.
I say all of them can go to hell but I reserve a special place at the top table for Sisu.
I have no space in my heart for any other team but I absolutely hate my club at the moment. The lack of contrition is mind boggling, they should be at our feet asking for forgiveness.
How some on here can spin this any other way is testament to the power of spin and bullshit that sure does baffle brains.

Odds on it's going to be Nuneaton
1. It probably just works within the 6 mile Coventry boundary
2. somehow it might save Nuneaton as a football team who are currently in trouble
Myself and mates will not be going to any ground other our home ground the Rioch - didn't go to Northampton and certainly will not be going to Nuneaton and also this time not going to any away matches - had enough of all this

If this happens again its a nail in the coffin of the club. Sisu would rather have us playing outside the city at a ground not fit for a club like us and is a kick in the teeth to the fans and players a like playing at a tin pot ground rather than dropping this rediculous legal battle that they have no chance of winning.

Sisu dont give a toss about the club, its history or the fans and fish face is laughing at us all

Having nerdily re-read the EFL ground criteria, I think CCFC have to have a ground with 2000 seats & a 5000 overall capacity.

This rules out Nuneaton & Hinckley. Rugby is possible with a bit of adjustment, the Butts. With a temporary stand.

Which ever way you look at it a move to a tin pot ground is an insult and a kick in the teeth to the fans and club. Perhaps it suits sisu as Fisher said we couldnt afford to be in the championship so staying in league 1 or two playing at a ground with a 5000 capicity would suit as the budget for players would be less and the attendencies would reflect this

I dunno, but if I bought a house in secret, with a sitting tenant that was in the midst of a huge and well-publicised legal dispute with the previous owner, then I wouldn't be surprised if I somehow got caught up in the middle of it.

Would anyone else like to mask an apology for the franchise behind a stretched analogy, it's quite good fun this...

How many season ticket holders do we have?

Controversial and not what I want but.... is there not a twisted logic to having a smaller stadium, relatively local, that if packed every game could bring further success on the pitch?

"While the current impasse remains, with Wasps choosing not to enter negotiations, the management has a responsibility to the club and its future"

management........what about the owners "responsibility to the club and its future" ?

Absolutely understandable. I heard Clive talking to Dave Boddy tonight on CWR and some of the questions he put to Mr Body seemed to be as if DB was part of SISU directly. There's a fine line between the distinction between CCFC and SISU and this line of approach doesn't help.

The league requirements for capacity will be far above the number that will attend. That's relevant. I am guessing how many will go, but I won't be far off.

Surely if this 6 mile "rule " is true it will be from the centre of Cov round about the cathedral.
1. Nuneaton is 10 miles from the centre of Cov
2 6 miles from the centre of Cov surely takes you beyond the City boundary in any direction. Very odd.

If the 6 mile rule turns out to be bollocks, then I would prefer us to ground share with Birmingham City, if we end up at Nuneaton we may miss out on some quality signings.

Trouble is we never get to see what is written down in terms conditions like the 6 miles. We have to rely on verbal comments from interested but untrustworthy parties

There is no efl regulation requiring it and the condition surely applied to a return to Coventry from 30 miles away. What could the efl do if it is outside the city? They won't chuck us out if we are able to fulfill the fixtures

The EFL could really open up a can of worms if we're expelled. How many clubs rent their ground? There are a few, for sure. So in theory, all of those clubs could reach an impasse with the landlord (more likely based on rent than legal action, but still) and be in this position. Setting a precedent like this would be a very dangerous game.

Think it is from the centre of Cov, Ryton on Dunsmore as an example is 5.9 miles from Broadgate, Meriden 7 miles as the crow flies. The only ground as I can see suitable other than the Ricoh is BPA

We don’t trust our hedge fund, but we trust their hedge fund...

If Wasps were to come out and say ‘we’ll negotiate, but we won’t actually agree to a long term lease until litigation is dropped’, I’d say that is more reasonable. Refusal to negotiate at all until litigation is dropped leaves in a potentially very vulnerable position because there would be nothing stopping Wasps refusing to negotiate and/or low balling our club.

Now, I’m not saying they would completely screw the club over if this happened. But, I wouldn’t give up my leverage before negotiations even began. We’re already in a weak enough position!

This whole ‘the simple thing to do’ argument is a bit naive in my view. I don’t trust SISU, Wasps, ACL or the Council. Ultimately, Cov staying at the RICOH benefits everyone, even Wasps, so it would be irrational to force the club out of the City. I believe something will get done.

If we could downsize to a 17-23k stadium that would be good in the long term. But, again, we would’ve been far better off remaining at Highfield Road. If only we had a time machine!

That’s what I said about playing at the butts, I believe a packed out butts park arena would be better then the Ricoh. I would welcome the butts especially in our situation

Frankly, I like the idea of building a up the Butts to about 12-15k at the minute. But, that’s only really suitable if we’re in L1, when really, we should be aiming for the Championship.
