I started watching American Football in late 1980s and chose Buffalo as my team, I stayed up to watch their 4 Super Bowls and was disappointed but none more so than the missed kick (Scott Norwood?) and 23-21 loss to the Giants. I seem to remember that the Bengals were divisional rivals with the Browns, were the Bengals playing at Cleveland when the "Dawg Pound" was making so much noise that they switched play to the other end of the pitch?Ickey took the league by storm during that Super Bowl run. I was 13 and we were all doing the shuffle. Sadly injuries ended his career before he made big money. He was selling meat door to door at one point.
I’ve had A Quick Look at FC Cincinnati squad and there’s a couple of names I recognise…Yedlin I know, and I think Evander was linked with us, albeit this was probably nonsense dreamt up on this forum! Perhaps you could seek him out and start selling him the dream!FC Cincinnati
I live in Covington, Kentucky which is directly across the river from Cincinnati Ohio. I have about a 15 minute commute to work in downtown Cincinnati. It seems like Coventry and Cincinnati are similar sized cities. (Our town has around 320K, so slightly smaller but a lot of us in nearby towns work and support the Cincinnati teams since they are the most local. Kentucky has zero professional sports clubs).
I really hope for his sake that’s not a euphemism.Ickey took the league by storm during that Super Bowl run. I was 13 and we were all doing the shuffle. Sadly injuries ended his career before he made big money. He was selling meat door to door at one point.
Bills fans are a good group. Will you be planning a trip to watch us at any point?
I pass that fountain (at the beginning of the clip) every single morning on my walk into work. He'll never replace Dr Johnny Fever, but maybe Super Frank can put in a word for Clive?
Welcome Frank ... only joking, I used to love watching this when I was a kid.

BrThis Coventry City team has won my heart and support.
As a 48 year old American, I grew up in a generation when “soccer” was not very popular. I played baseball, basketball and our version of football. However, in recent years, I started watching the beautiful game and I was hooked! I can’t believe I never got into it sooner. I wanted a club to support, but I didn’t want to jump on the bandwagon of the Man City’s or Liverpool’s. That felt too easy. I started learning about the Championship teams. Watching YouTube documentaries about the teams and cities they live in. Coventry City stood out for several reasons. I remember Frank Lampard from his playing days at Chelsea. Also, I grew up in Covington, Kentucky (directly across the river from Cincinnati Ohio). Our city goes by the nickname of COV, so it felt right. I have been following the Sky Blues all season. I have learned about the City. I relate to the resilience of the city and club. I want to come and see the Coventry Cathedral, Lady Godiva in all her glory, the Car Museum, the Peeping Tom clock, and much more. Most of all, I am Sky Blue and will be singing along “We’ll live and die in these towns”…..
im the only Coventry City fan I know of in my area. Thanks for letting me share in the passion of this city and team. If they go up (or even if not), I’m going to try to convert some others at my local bar (pub) to Coventry City fans!
Great post , ignore the negativity. WelcomeThis Coventry City team has won my heart and support.

Coventry is like any UK City, good parts and bad. Cathedral area excellent, south Coventry, memorial park good, other areas good. On your doorstep, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick (castle). Cotswolds beautiful, nearby.I have never been to the UK. Would love it! Have and will look into it.
You guys survived the blitz and you are still standing. Who wouldn’t respect that resilience? Saw a lot of beautiful places on YouTube. Also (reminds me of my area) saw some negative publicity about crime & violence.Coventry is like any UK City, good parts and bad. Crime and violence? Non existent if we compare our two areas, and I say that as somebody who has been to the states over 50 times. You guys survived the blitz and you are still standing.
