How Sisu Have Made the Sky Blues Homeless (Probably): Joy, Tim and Friends - Condemned By Their Own - Coventry MAD

I read the first two paragraphs and couldn't be arsed after, it comes across like a council PR piece, competently ignoring why SISU was the council's favoured buyer for CCFC in the first place.

It is a pr piece isn't it? He seems to be another one picking and choosing things.

The council and their condition is just swept aside as exaggeration and public relations while exaggerating things fisher has said for public relations.

Same as the whole stuff about a butts groundshare. He seems to be rewriting history in some parts. It's funny as Tony was pushing the same the other day about that.

He should probably have researched why the reason he boycotts doesn't exist while he was at it.

A bit embarrassing really.

Pretty much, its getting more and more obvious.

What's the purpose of it?

Because SISU dared to try and improve the deal the club was getting

Maybe to get a totally balanced point of view, someone in the know should provide one from a SISU perspective?

Or maybe somebody should ask what's the purpose and what's he up to? Add that together with the ironic stuff that him and his mate push about misleading the fans whilst doing the same thing.

Add in that a bloke who writes things like that doesn't seem to know why he is boycotting games.

It's a bit weird how history seems to get re written to get people worked up. Saw it the other day in that butts thread on here where people who will be giving it the "well what are you doing" seemed to not know / forget certain things.

Ok I get what you are saying and he seems to have a bit of an agenda.
But I think my point still stands that it would be beneficial for people to be able to read a similar piece but from the SISU side?

My point is that it shouldn't really be from any side.

Why is he putting out propaganda like that?
What's the aim?

I don’t know. Maybe there isn’t an aim? It could be he is trying to educate people on the situation and how it came to be, but solely from his point of view.
If we had something from SISU, we could at least see where they are coming from and people could make up their own minds on the sorry story of CCFC.

I totally get that this does nothing to end or solve the current Ricoh impasse, but is merely commentary from one interested party.

He isn't an interested party though? He's somebody who is showing that ccfc is a secondary thought after sisu. He doesn't even seem to know why he boycotts.

When you have "ccfc fans" doing the pr for the council and wasps then people need to have a step back and think. Why does it need sisu to say anything before he can not miss out certain things?

Impasse is word of the week I think.

Refer to the Haskell MK2 thread to see this sort of thing adds to exactly how it looks.

Read ok so what quotes are wrong or taken out of context? I was at the first SiSU supporters meeting and asked the question when will they buy the AH shares, answer That’s not our priority at this point in time ! SiSU have alienated ALL parties they need to deal with and we pay the price.

Looks like it's gone completely over your head?

I do like how he goes on about fisher misleading people when between him and his right hand man that's their sole aim.

I only said ‘interested party’ as a Cov fan like the rest of us.
I don’t know anything about him or his boycotts really, I just read everything Cov City related good or bad.

I need SISU to say something so I can understand why they have done things in the way they have.
I wish they had come out and been totally honest about their ultimate goal for us, they may just have got some support from us as supporters if they were open and honest with us?

I agree, their pr is dog shit. Then again they don't have fans groups and people like him lining up to do it for them over and over.

He is boycotting home games for a reason that doesn't exist, quite strange really.

Strange how he went into super sonic mode when the council openly lied in a statement and pretty much said they don't care because public opinion is on their side.

"because he can't sit near his friends without a season ticket" is what he told the media.

He can.

So, is he purposely misleading or does he genuinely not know that he can go and watch his team play after all?

At the same time though, we have to continue to blame all sides in this.

Is there anyone out there amongst our supporters that believes Sisu SHOULD continue with the litigation?

So annoying.

Wasps SHOULD give us a deal and the council SHOULD lessen their tone, because although Sisu are the enemy to them it is also killing our football club. SISU have to stop the legal battle too though. They have to. It is serving no purpose and causing all sorts of aggro and conflict.

I have always said all sides should be blamed and held to account. (That's shouting at sisu, not aimlessly going on about getting games abandoned)

Why wouldn't anybody want that?

The silence and things like this are deafening. Especially when he let slip a new club could play at the ricoh.

How can the council leader openly make something up, gloat about public opinion being on his side anyway then sit back and watch people like this crank it up a gear to make it go away?

It's the same as when people were working with the council's pr company. Why?

Without going into the whole new club thing. Why would he say it?

Again. Misleading or genuinely thinks it. If the second what's that based on?

Why's that?

Not to mention the ones they laughed about in the press for having the cheek to want to get involved with the stadium as well.

Again though, selective memories. The same as how Jon Sharpe at cov rugby has always said " he won't work with us while sisu are owners" but submitted a business plan to the council about a ground share. The council then tried to jump in and add a clause into the lease to block it.

Of course sisu are full of shit, of course the stadium was made up, of course they have tried to distress others. Of course they should be given shit and action to drop the court case.

How does that mean that others shouldn't and that anything they have done to work against the club should be wiped from history?

Oh good so we are building a new stadium and we’re not about to be homeless and there are no court cases against our landlord Phew. Was worried there for a moment!

Think this is one of the problems. People don't seem to understand if people aren't shouting sisu all the time over and over.

Like I said, seemed to go over your head and still is as nobody has said anything like that.

Saying that others should be blamed too doesn't mean sisu are innocent of anything and shouldn't be blamed.

Haven't read it all (it's s very long article), but there is so much in there that is hard to disagree with.

It's just not the whole picture and I can't see anything about the hugely excessive rent we were having to pay to play at the Ricoh for instance. That was a major issue.

It's a good article in many ways from what I can see, but not the whole picture by a long chalk and it needs balance

We simply cannot JUST blame Sisu, even though they are the number one culprit in all this.

What a crock of shit. Thoroughly embarrassing.

What a load of drivel, how does any of that help anything? Wasn't a surprise to reach the end and see the author is Johnson.
Otis said:

Doubt you will find anyone who believes they should keep going down that route. Equally does anyone really believe there is anything that will persuade them to suddenly call a halt to the legals?
Ashdown said:

From what was said by those running the process at the time there were seven interested parties. Don't think they all got named publicly. Obviously SISU, there was Manhattan & Shapiro (or something like that), don't recall any others being named. The council preferred SISU as the others identified a need for stadium ownership. SISU, or rather Ranson's, plan didn't.

But this is now and that was then we can keep going over who’s to blame and basically SiSU cock it all up by not taking a positive path as against a negative one. Now we’re facing an end and the legal struggle still continues
