Does the lack of signings mean we are looking at a higher quality player and is it good news rather than we are struggling to get the ones in we want?

Probably means we are looking at getting the right deal for the club, both the player and the price has to be right for Doug it would seem, and as he's shown, he's not going to be rushed or pressurised into a deal if he's not happy.
I've no doubt we are talking about a number of possibilities, so patience is the key, and it's surprising how many fans online have already gone into a buying frenzy, arguing with each other over the merits of players who for all we know may not even be in the picture. It's ridiculous.
Sit tight, be patient and let's see who turns up.

Inflated prices maybe, but that doesn't mean there isn't high quality players available.
I'm sure we are doing what we have done all summer. Trying ti get the best ones that we want in.
The problem we have is we're seen to be rich for the level of players we are looking at. We have just received more money than we have in countless years previous combined.

I dunno why people say don't want a loan. Pretty sure nearly every championship season a promoted team usually has at least one high profile loanee?
