Opposite way round for us. We stayed in Limone and made many trips to Malcesine and other places around the lake. Ferries were dirt cheap! Did you ever get to Sirmione at the very south of the lake?

No, that was one of the places we were looking at staying first time but didn't get that far down. Nearly went back to Limone last year but did the Amalfi coast, but definitely going back as soon as we can, want to see Riva as well as everything the other side all the way down to Sirmione. Then lake Como next!
