Goalkeeper (5 Viewers)

Dennis Seimen (No not that one)

6ft 4, 20 year old, German U21 Goalkeeper for Stuttgart currently on loan at Padeborn looks the real deal, he’s broke the club clean sheet record recently and kept 4 clean sheets in his first four games. Will go to elite level, it’s just a big task for him to be number 1 at such a young age against a team going to face a lot of shots next year. He would be my choice with an experienced head along side him.

For those that love a highlight reel:

Negative headline risk I guess
Seimen lobbed, Seimen spills, Seimen facial injury, Seimen sprays on milf jugs.
Alright, maybe not the last one.

I love the logic of Cov fans.

The amount of people I've seen on twitter reddit etc saying we shouldn't trust Dovin as he has no prem experience, forgetting rushworth has never played in the prem, and they then suggest signing goalkeepers who also have never played prem.

Go figure

Dovin hasn’t established himself at Championship level yet, although showed lots of potential. He doesn’t command the six yard box the way Rushworth does. Also the big factor is Dovin has not played for 12 months and is not in full training yet.

Easily the weakest link in our team for years until Rushworth arrived. We had some shocking keepers in our line up over 5 years, Wilson has been lucky with a good defence the others terrible quality and a total blindspot for Robins and Co. Give Brighton the asking price for Rushworth …

If only it were that simple. He will have a lot of options.

If we can't get Rusworth, Nick Pope? In and out of the team this year and Newcastle are lookig for a new keeper. Only one year left on his contract. Offres plenty of PL experience.

The only logical argument you or anyone else makes is being out for 12 months.

At the time of his injury he was one of the best in the championship, not on Rushworths level obviously but still top end championship and anyone that says otherwise is lying.

I like Argentina's away shirt for the WC. I'll get one in Bangkok, good quality fake for £8 quid

We have to sign 2 keepers in the summer. Hopefully Rushworth but we will need another that has experience of top euro league football who can push him and also be a good replacement if needed. Dovin I’m worried is behind on his recovery.

But the questions have arisen because its unlikely we'll sign rushworth permanently...

…and Dovin hasn’t played any football since 28th March 2025, he is still not part of first team training.

As i said, the only legit argument is he hasn't played in over 12 months, your repeating yourself now

Got any other arguments?

He's good enough to be given a chance unless we can sign somebody like rushworth or with proven prem experience imo

I'd rather have big Oggy than Pope! He's been poor for Newcastle for a while, no idea how or why he's been chosen ahead of Ramsdale so many times.

how do you know he is good enough when he has been out so long? How do do know he will even be fit for the start of the season? Signing another keeper takes the pressure off him and he can come back in his own time. If he is fit and good enough he will get picked a head of a new signing. We need two good keepers anyway.
