Haven't we already got a thread for this?

Nope.

That's the thread for the remainers.

Renegotiation won’t work anyway. We have the same idiots doing the same things expecting different results. The only other deal is a return to the backstop. As pointed out by Rory Stewart in the leadership contest. There is only two ways to do it and neither are as good as being a member of the single market and both have their problems. All we’ll do is swap one set of problems for another.

Stick to the point in hand then everyone. What have we got so wrong only a matter of months ago that we are trying to renegotiate?
That’s all I’m interested in not eu this and Brexit that.

Whats your chosen solution G? Border in NI?
The only real solution is either Northern Ireland splits from the uk. Good luck with that or Ireland joins the uk. Good luck with that. Anything else has to have a border in the island of Ireland which is no solution at all. I wonder if anyone said this at the time?

No?

Uh maybe

Most people in GB couldn’t care less if NI left.

Always fun when people try to claim there's a media conspiracy to withhold an interview, even better when it's an interview that literally has Sky News written all over it.

It’s already been rejected anyway.

They can trigger article 16 if they wish , which I'm sure all sides would rather not happen

It certainly fits the criteria for being triggered

Of course Johnson and his cronies wants it to happen.
It’s also an agreement that the UK negotiated and ratified. The problem is that Johnson’s claims about no checks were utter bollocks.

The tories are fucking idiots for accepting the deal anyway ..

But with all due respect to the European Union, Northern Ireland is British and we should protect our interests

They’re the ones who negotiated it!!
Northern Ireland isn’t British, it’s not part of Great Britain.

M&S saying sandwiches needing three veterinary certificates to get through ?! And entire loads being turned away due to ink colour ? I mean, come on, whichever side of the argument your on that’s just ridiculous. We’re not talking about joe bloggs shitty sandwich maker.

Also I read earlier in the year 20% of all eu border checks were taking place in NI. Again this just feels disproportionate?

I’m not trying to justify the protocol, which alone brings plenty of challenges but the implementation of the rules appears to be causing totally unnecessary additional issues. A few weeks back both sides were making positive noises about tweaking things to make it a lot smoother. Not sure what happened but you’d hope a solution can be found
